Best room in PO-AB

We are schedueled to stay for the first time at Port Orleans- Alligator Bayou. I am wondering what building, room # is good. I am also wondering what the parkinga facilities are like.

I can help you with the building request. I recommend you not request a specific room, as you probably will not get it. You will most likely get the bldg. you ask for though. BUILDING 15 is AWESOME for location. A few steps and you are there to the bus stop and very close to the food court and main bldg (check in). We love this bldg. alot and request it each time.

WE LOVE #18. IT IS A SMOKING BUILDING. WE ARE NOT SMOKERS AND HAVE NOT NOTICED ANY SMELL IN THE ROOMS. WE JUST LOVE THE LOCATION OF THIS BUILDING AND HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET IT EVERY TIME WE HAVE BEEN THERE. I ALWAYS REQUEST 18, THEN 14, THEN 27 WHEN MAKING RESERVATIONS. IT IS A QUICK WALK TO THE FOOD COURT AND MAIN POOL. IT EVEN HAS A QUIET POOL RIGHT THERE. I REQUESTED THIS BUILDING FOR OUR JULY STAY. HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!

We have stayed in bldg 15 twice and it has been fine (close walk to bus stops and foodcourt/pools). I think #17, 18 and 27 would be great as well. If you look at a map of the resort you will be able to see what bldgs are convenient. Some of the bldgs are way too far from the food court. We had our bldg requests met both times (I do give a 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice).

BLDG 14, corner room, ground floor, non parking lot view. This works like a champ. Very close to main Bldg, bus stop, quiet and regular pool. And you will probably get a partial water view.

What are the Non-Smoking Buildings at POR?

we were in 27 and loved it! It was less than a 5 minute walk to the food court, but much less congested than bldg 14 or 15, to our way of looking. We had paid for a waterview and had a wonderful top floor corner room with a view of the river (and all the nesting ducks)

I didn't know that you could guarantee the AB section of POR. I requested it twice before I got it. I remember the first time I requested it, when I didn't get it, I really moped around because I had so been looking forward to it. So I hope you're sure you're getting it, or at least not setting yourself up for the disappointment I initially felt.
That being said, when we finally did get AB, we had Building 17, which was a really nice location.

PO (sigh Dixie ) is our favorite hotel in Disney. We have always requested a particular building in AB (and always on first floor) and our requests have always been met.
Our favorite is 14 or 15 because they are the closest to food court, store, 1st bus stop, etc. # 18 is about a 30 second walk further away and it is also good because a quiet pool is right there and the laundry area.
