Working on my 2 day MK touring plan and wondering what are the best rides for a 2 yo? We are planning to visit two or three lands a day and go back to resort for the afternoon nap and swimming. So any touring plan ideas with a 2yo is also appreciated. Thanks!!!

When DD was 2 she rode everything that didn't have a height limit. Her favorites were IASW and Mickey's PhilharMagic but she enjoyed it all. :upsidedow

Last time we went to MK my oldest was just over 2yo. Her absolute favourite was Pooh and she loved the tea cups and jungle cruise. The only rides she wasn't a fan of were the old Snow Whire ride and Peter Pan ( she cried on this one).

At 2, my kids faves were Pooh, Dumbo, Philharmagic & the Carousel. That was also the age that they loved meeting characters, so you may want to make time for that. We always took time for a midday nap when the kids were little, and it worked very well for us. Enjoy your trip!!

As another has stated, ride everything without a height limit, even haunted mansion. Get the two year old comfortable with rides now and you won't regret later. Our youngest fears no ride whereas the oldest we coddled through attractions.

fantasyland should be your starting point each morning in the MK.

When my DD was 2, basically anything that was a boat ride was a hit - IASW, Jungle Cruise, the boat ride in Mexico at EPCOT. She even liked POTC, which we weren't sure about.

She also LOVED the characters, although I know a lot of kids are scared of them so you'll just have to try it and see. Her favorite was Donald; the taller ones like Goofy and Tigger she was okay with, but my wife had to hold her her first time meeting Goofy.

Another non-ride thing she enjoyed a lot at 2 was the street musicians.

The carousel and Dumbo. I think it just depends on the child, though. My older daughter loved Winnie the Pooh and we rode it probably a dozen times when she was 2. My little one found the heffalumps and woozles frightening on our recent trip. She also was terrified by Mickey's Philharmagic. She loved the Ariel ride, though, and could have ridden that and the carousel all day. She also loved Peter Pan.

You asked about touring plans...Check out Josh's cheat sheets on easywdw. His MK plan has a "character-centric" plan which is a great one for little kids. My kids rode everything that didn't have a height requirement and loved them all.

Last year my 2 DS loved Buzz Lightyear (when you get off the ride, you can stand in "jail" with Zurg, he loved that!). Pooh, Peter Pan, Small World are big hits.... he isn't scared of anything so we did Haunted Mansion and Pirates also (which he loved!). Jungle Cruise was a big hit. He loved the magic carpets.

Avoid the Swiss treehouse, too many stairs for little kids.

Characters are a big draw at that age, Buzz lightyear meets in the back of futureland with little waits.

We are going to try and get over to Tom Sawyer's Island this year, I haven't been since I was little!

Awesome ideas. Thanks everybody. We do have a early character breakfast ADR at CP for one day.

Our 2 yr. old daughter rode absolutely everything that there wasn't a height restriction, and loved it all. That included at the MK - the Haunted Mansion. Disney designs their attractions for the entire family. My wife also did an excellent job of smiling and re-directing her attention, telling her how silly certain things were, during certain parts of the Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Fantasyland is a great place to start for young ones, including the barnstormer, for building their confidence.
