In the park, either Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans, the former for the atmosphere, though pricey, the latter has similar food which is slightly cheaper but just as tasty with outdoor dining. Funnel cake from either the Stage Door Cafe or Mint Julep Bar is wonderful.
Outside the park our must-do's are Buca-di-Beppo on Harbor, California Pizza Kitchen on Katella/Harbor (artichoke dip is awesome!), and DH loves In-N-Out burger (they only have 3 items on the menu, a hamburger, a cheeseburger, and a double cheeseburger, and they do them all ridiculously well).
BUCCA DE PEPPO!!
It's a couple blocks down the road from Disneyland, and its AMAZING. Its the only place we will go eat at for dinner or lunch. Absolutely amazing food, great service, and the restaurant decor itself is pretty neat to go into.
We have been going there for the last 6 or so years now, every time we have flow to Anaheim as we used to stay at the Embassy Suites(which is how we discovered the restaurant). After driving down from Canada, our van broke down AND got a flat in their parking lot and the manager ended up using her own Triple A card to help us out. An absolutely phenomenal restaurant EVERYONE needs to try.
Also if you do not have a vehicle, one of the Art Buses can take you straight down there as they share the same property as the stop for Embassy Suites(usually route K or J).
Sad attempts at being Italian food and all served family style. Maybe it's just me....but I'm not a fan...
. It's the first burger the kids would eat when we went to there in Feb/09. Before eating at In-N-Out burger they refused to eat hamburgers. In the parks I love the Plaza Inn for their pasta, Royal Street Veranda for their gumbo, and Stage Door Cafe in Frontierland for their fish and chips. We have a local Bucca's and it's awful!!Sad attempts at being Italian food and all served family style. My vote is for In-n-Out! You can only get them in a few states and if you're a burger fan, you've GOT to try these! Big plus goes for being all natural beef and with a young child, I can't imagine you would be going anywhere super "fancy". I know I wouldn't attempt it...

That's to bad you've had such a bad experience at your local restaurant. The one in Garden Grove is absolutely to die for!!
