goin' to the world with one or two friends in november... i'm in charge of planning (surprise! surprise) and i'm really undecided where we should dine...

here's our "itinerary" thusfar...

tuesday, arrival day, 'ohana dinner (i can't do this w/my family because of son's food allergies, so it's my only chance! LOL!)... MK

wednesday, epcot day... chefs de france? marakesh? other?

thursday, shopping day, MVMCP at night... lunch at downtown disney? (raglan road? house of blues? has to be on the DDP) or early dinner at a monorail resort? (the wave? kona - too much like 'ohana? GF Cafe? other?) afternoon tea oop and use the extra credit the next day?

friday, hollywood studios day... mama melroses? eat CS/tea the day before and splurge for Brown Derby? take a break and go to the Boardwalk?

saturday, leave for home at the bcod!

ALL SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED!

Hi Gigi,

My best friend and I are going without husbands or kids in October. She's got a conference and she asked me to go because I live to go. This is my 19th trip but I'm actually going to get to go to a couple new places like the California Grille and Victoria and Alberts. We never did them before because my DH is a steak and potato guy. You've got great ideas listed already. I'm sure you gals will have a blast. The main thing is the booking window is already open for November so you should call or get online as soon as possible and see what's available. It sounds like with free dining things are tough to get lately.

You didn't say if you were going while it was still F&W time at Epcot. On our day at Epcot we are going to sample wines and small items around the world and I didn't make an ADR. I've been there before for F&W and there are so many fantastic things to try. If it is still going on you could do this and then you could use your extra TS for one of the signature restaurants. If not then I think Chef's De France would be an awesome choice. Le Cellier is my favorite restaurant at Epcot but I think if I was going with girlfriends I'd choose Chef's first for the atmosphere.

We are doing the Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian one afternoon at 2:00 for our lunch. I've read really great reviews about it and I got a lot of great feedback when I first posted here asking about it. I've done the tea on the Disney cruise ships before and if it's half as good it will be worth it.

For Downtown Disney I would say go for Raglan Road and have the "It's Not Bleedin Chowder". It's my favorite meal in all of Disney. I do also love the House of Blues though but if I had to pick between the two it would be Raglan especially if I got to sit where I could see the portrait of Bono.

For Hollywood Studio's you've got the best choices listed so I guess it will be do you have the extra TS to use for Brown Derby or not. Both are wonderful. I was there with the family in May and we had one of the best meals of the week at Mama's.

Have a great time,
Cathy

:cutie: Yay for Girl's Weekend :cutie:

I think you should:
1. Drink around the world at Epcot.
2. Eat at California Grill and Marrakesh.
3. Go to Jellyrolls.
4. Get massages.
5. Have fun!!

GREAT IDEAS!!
dh/i did cali grill and enjoyed it... but because of our budget, a 2TS is a little out of range 'cause we'd have to supplement the use of the credits another day oop...

tea is definitely on our to-do list... and i totally forgot about jellyrolls!!! i have been dying to go there for *years!* so, i made an ADR at Kouzzina for after DHS closes and we'll head to J's after that! :)

still have a few kinks to work out, but love the ideas... thanks folks :)
