So, my husband and I are driving up to WDW for a long weekend to celebrate 15 years! We will be kid-free for this trip. Woo hoo!

I'm hoping for some ideas on where to eat. First off, we will not be going into the parks. Secondly, the V&A suggestions are pretty much out...he REALLY loves an amazing steak, seafood etc, and I don't think that's so much up our alley. We are not drinkers. We've never eaten at Flying Fish, so that's a possibility. Other thoughts are the Swan/Dolphin or outside of the parks in Orlando.

Any great experiences???

Shula's at the dolphin is fabulous. Dh & I have also really enjoyed our meals at Charlies. Both are steakhouses.

I recommend Shula's for steak, Bluezoo for seafood, or Jiko for a diverse menu and a romantic atmosphere.

Well someones gotta do it...have you been to the California Grill? Its expensive and noisy, but the food and views are great. Get a seat in the wine room for a more romantic experience but don't miss Wishes out on the deck.

We also loved the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I know its had iffy reviews here but our two dining experiences were top notch. The food was excellent, but the service even better. Our waiter observed that we we were not perfectly happy with the entrées, and the chef came to our table. He promised to make it right, and did.

Now if budget is a factor I would recommend Wolfgang Pucks @ DTD. We've had excellent food and service there at a lower price point.

BlueZoo is excellent! The Yachtsman has the best steak I ever ate.

We spent our last 2 anniversaries at Citricos and it was outstanding

I'd also recommend Citricos, although Jiko has, from my experience, a more romantic atmosphere. Citricos, though, feels like a little more of an indulgence.

My wife and I have a habit of going to Flying Fish for date nights at Disney. It can get pretty loud in there, but if you make a later dining reservations, things seem to be a little more placid later in the evening. It's also a great place to start a romantic walk around the Boardwalk after dinner.

We ate at Artist Point the night we got engaged and the meal was OUTSTANDING and the service was the BEST we ever had at Disney. The WL is a gorgeous resort, it's worth the trip over there!!:cloud9:

I think the Swan/Dolphin restaurants are at least one notch above any of WDW's signatures, in both food and adult atmosphere, so I'd pick Shulas for steak, bluezoo for seafood, or Il Mulino for Italian. Out of the 3, bluezoo is my favorite. We like it almost as much as V&A.

My first instinct while reading your post was either Flying Fish Cafe (which you mentioned as a possibility) or Yachtsman Steakhouse. Both are in the beautiful Epcot resort area and offer wonderful, albeit different, dining experiences. In my limited experience, it seems Yachtsman offers a more subdued atmosphere. Something about the acoustics and environment at Flying Fish make the place always feel loud and energetic. If that appeals to you, it's a great option, because it's a fantastic restaurant.
