Which restaurant would be best in your experience?

Thanks :thumbsup2

Too open ended..

1. Age of the person's BD (ie kid, teenage, adult)

2. How many in your party

Makes big difference

I agree, it's easier to answer knowing more information about the birthday boy/girl

1 - Chef Mickey's - great for kids
2 - Victoria and Albert's or Jiko - Perfect for an adult

I celebrated my 35th birthday at Narcoosee's and it was nice. They had actually printed all of our menus with "Happy Birthday Tricia" with balloons in the corner. They also did a special birthday dessert from the chef for me.

My son celebrated his second birthday at Chef Mickey's and loved the song, dance and special cupcake.

Good idea... It's for my mom and turning 47. First time to WDW!
Doesn't have to be classy...it can be childish as well - it's WDW!! haha

Anything goes for my mom...I just want to create a memorable experience for her.

I would not suggest Chef Mickey's for your mom. The cupcake is served during the regular napkin waving dance, and isn't especially for a birthday. I think that all of the buffets do this (at least Cape May does also do it like this)

Prime Time Cafe is campy and fun - but also individual. We had cousin Mikey and he was FANTASTIC. He talked to our kids, asked how old they were, etc. My son who was turning two during the trip answered "Two" to Mikey. We corrected our son and said that he'd be two tomorrow.

Mikey didn't care. He came out at dessert with a birthday cupcake and everyone in the section sang Happy Birthday to our son. DS loved the cupcake, but the individual attention was lost on a two year old. If your mom would like individual fun then I suggest them! (Food isn't my favorite, but the experience was great overall)

I'm looking for opinions too! Id like to have a Bday dinner at one of the on-site Disney restaurants for my DW, she'll be 31. We'll also have our DS13 and DD10 with us. What would be fun for the whole family but also be special for DW?

Ok then..

Coral Reef: Popular due to the view of the tank with the fishes. Food is nice.

LeCeller: GREAT food, nice dining room and very popular. Hard to get ADR if you are not calling far enough in advance.

Raglon Road: Make for later in the evening and you can get great step dancers and Irish bands.. Also you can hit Pleasure Island afterwards

I would say the Crystal Palace. It is playful with the characters, yet elegant. We celebrated my 40th and my daughters 15th and it was appropriate for both. The food is excellent!! When we arrived they had our table decorated. My mom pre ordered a bday cake and they brought it when she gave the ok. The waiter was so cool and he sang to us. He had a pretty good voice too. They do a parade around the dining room with pooh and friends. It is something I will never forget. We loved it!! I am sure it will be a wonderful memory! It is Disney after all!! Have fun!

Yachtman Steakhouse is where I've celebrated my last 3 birthdays and have had another 5 birthday dinners for there with friends. I have ordered birthday cakes everytime which have been awesome and they have made preprinted menus that say "Happy Birthday ______" with the date.

It has a great atmosphere and they still prepare all their food fresh everyday. Their steaks are hand cut and you can watch the butcher cutting right in front of you.

I have always had great service they still understand "Disney Magic" there. The pastry chef is very talented - all of my cakes have been in his locations.

Have a great time where ever you choose to celebrate.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at the Hoop Dee Doo Review and LOVED it!!!!!!!
They made a big fuss, picked my dad AND my son to be on stage..it was perfect!

Cookesquad5 was the CP birthday a breakfast or lunch with the characters?

Who do you notify about the cake?

We had a dinner with the characters. I think you just call the reservation line and they can give you a separate number to call for the cake. I remember them having many options to choose from. Good Luck! By the way. They even held the left over cake for us until we were ready to leave the park that night. Just a nice little added touch!

California Grill--nice and fancy
Whispering Canyon-loud and happy
Coral Reef-have a diver with a sign and a personalized menu
You could do more than one birthday meal! Have fun!
