Looking for a restaruant for just my wife and myself for a romantic night...no kids. What is your favorite place and why.

If you can swing it V & A is a once in a lifetime experience. Or dreaming big rent the Grand One Yacht for a private dinner while drinking champagne and watching wishes.

Depending on your budget, my DH and I ate at the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's last September and it was by far our best dining experience ever...both in Disney and outside Disney....it's a lot of fun and the food is unreal. Good luck with you decision :)

Victoria and Albert. BNo other option. It is the only AAA Five Diamond rated restaurant in Florida. (and one of less than 50 nationwide).

A suggestion for something less pricey than V&A. DH and I had a fantastic meal at Fultons 11-04. We had great service and the food was wonderful. However, if you are looking for a very quiet subdued atmosphere, then Fultons may not be a good suggestion. The dining room was full when we were there, so there was a small amount of hussle and bussle. But nothing that distracted us from enjoying a very great meal.

V & A is EXPENSIVE so if you are looking for romance without that steep of a price I highly reccomened CA Grill. The food is incredible and you can ask to be put in the wine room and I believe they also have a chef's table. We love CA Grill!!

Blue Zoo is very nice, great service and we saw no kids in there! The steak was excellent-our friend liked it better than Jikos. DH's tuna was awesome and my cod was very good.

Our favorite was V&A - the atmosphere, the harp, the food, everything - *sigh*. Our second favorite was Artist Point - atmosphere is nice, the food's always been excellent. HTH:)

We ate at V&A's, CA Grill, Yachtmens Steakhouse, Brown Derby, Le Cellier, Morroco on our last trip and yes the food at V&A's was fabulous we are going back in February and the first PS we made was for Jikos. The food is fabulous and it's got a very lush and romantic setting. We love Jikos and can't wait to go back. It's pricey too but not as pricey as V&A and CA Grill.

My vote goes to BlueZoo! Great restaurant and great service.

I have not been to V&A's but I have been to Cal Grill and it was fantastic! Fulton's is good but I would not consider it romantic. Everytime I was there it was very busy and loud. We went to CG and watched the fireworks.

I also like the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk. Excellent food and very nice atmosphere.

I have not been to Jikos either but have heard fabulous things about it and hope to try it one of these days.

a catered boat, with or without fireworks, sounds divine to me ....

.... but, since I haven't experienced that pleasure, might I suggest the latest seating at the Italian restaurant in Italy? Before kids, hubby and I enjoyed a fine and unhurried meal there, and I loved the atmosphere! Everyone else was doing Illuminations, which we had already seen. so there wasn't a huge crowd or a lot of noise in the restaurant. The best part was that when we were done, the park was deserted. There was only the piped in music! Very romantic.

It seems that everyone is voting for V&A...but can you really justify a 300 to 400 dinner (with wine) versus a 150 dinner at most other places, such as flying fish or upstairs at Wolfgang Puck's.

No hon I cant. Wich is why I am a fan of somewhere like Bluezoo.. or maybe Artists Pointe.

Fortunatly my husband and I can be "alone" just about anywhere. One of our most romantic meals was at our local Pizza joint. The bill was $35. and we were enchanted :)

When we ate at the Chef's Table at V & A's it was our honeymoon so it was a very special occasion hence we were able to justify the expense.....it was one of those experiences that we will never forget and we still talk about. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you chose to dine there but I'm sure you can find a more reasonably priced restaurant (some good ones have already been suggested) and still have a nice, romantic meal without spending $400.

If you want to spend the money, then go to Victoria and Alberts.

However, if you cannot justify that much for one meal, or like us, can't afford it, I would recommend the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The service was definitely top notch. Refills, and anything else you need just seems to appear out of no where, as the servers are very unobtrusive, but always there when you need them. The food is beyond words. Nowhere have I ever had steaks like these. They melted in our mouths and I like mine medium well, if that tells you anything. The desserts were fantastic, as well. We went for our anniversary and before we left, they delivered a single red rose and placed it in front of me--- this was on a Tuesday and the rose opened and I was able to enjoy its beauty for 5 days--- pretty good for a rose.

Blue Zoo, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish are all good selections; but if you want to bve in the Grand Floridian, enjoy excellente cuisine, at less expense, may I suggest Citricos? It's now my favorite restaurant in WDW. If the food were only okay, the outstanding service would more than make up for it. As it is, the food, presentation, and location are all top-notch. I call it WDW's "sleeper restaurant," since it doesnt get the attention California Grill does.

Check wdwig.com for the menu, since it's updated often.
