In October a bunch of my friends and I are going on a kid/husband free trip to DLR to celebrate my best friend's birthday. What is a good restaurant we can go to to celebrate a birthday that caters to a big group as well? Big Thunder BBQ would have been ideal but it is closed now, boo hoo!!

What's your budget? I've done big groups at BB, Carthay and PPH Grill, it just requires a reservation. Now that PPH has a dinner buffet, that might be a good option if people have different tastes. I believe that Storytellers also has a dinner buffet. Personally, for food and drinks I'd probably pick ESPN Zone if staying near the parks. There's also a Benihana nearby and several options at GardenWalk depending on how far you're willing to go.

I think Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen would be a good choice. It's huge, has the ability to seat large groups and is delicious.
Also, Tortilla Joes has a neat room that overlooks the dining area but it's quiet and private. It probably seats 15~30 people (guessing). I would specifically ask for that room if you choose them.
Both of these are in DTD.

We've done group dinners (groups of 15-20 people) at Jazz Kitchen and Naples. Had a great time and great service at both. For parties of 15 and larger, JK will give you a private room. We've also done group dinners at NR, but there is no AP discount there, so the other restaurants offer an advantage.

We did a nice big family dinner of 12 at STorryteller cafe. They put us at a nice long table and we had a great time.
