best restaurant for Fantasmic package?

And what time should I make the PS for? I'm thinking Hollywood and Vine would be a good idea, since it's the least expensive (we're on a budget) and it's a buffet. (My DH likes to eat!!)

Any thoughts?

My DD6 and I loved Hollywood & Vine. I thought the food was great! Our server was quick and accomodating. I am pretty sure there are set times for the dinner package and not many times to choose from. I took the earliest time available and we ate a lunch/dinner meal that day, with snack along the way.

We also did Hollywood and Vine dinner package in Dec. The food there was good. Service was good. We'd go back.

Can you make a reservation for the Fantasmic Package using one of your Dining options? We booked our trip with a dining option and wondered if we could still make a reservation without having to buy this on top of the meal plan.

I think the answer was "no" that I was given, because you have to call ahead and reserve the Fantasmic! dinner pkg. with a credit card, and because it was a package deal in itself.

We're going during Easter week and they gave us a choice of either a 4 or 4:30 PS. The show times aren't out yet, but I'm guessing the 1st show will start around 7:30, so we took the 4:30 seating. I've read that others have moved their PSs to a little later about a month before the date.

This will be our 1st time at H&V, but we'd read mostly good reviews, and we liked H&V more than the alternative most expensive sit-down places.

We had a 4:40 for Mama Melrose in Dec and that only gave us enough time to make a quick trip through the Osborne Lights after dining and then get over to the special entrance gate by 6:30 like we were told to. Maybe because Mama Melrose's isn't buffet it takes longer. We will definitely do our next Fantasmic package there again. The H and V buffet menu doesn't really appeal to me and we had a great meal at Mama Melrose's.
