any suggestions for rest areas/shady areas to sit for a breather in the afternoons. all parks please

I like to ride Carousel of Progress when I need to a breather. It's a good place for a nap, too. Just my humble opinion.

LOL I had to click. I was thinking....why is this person posting about bathroom stops along the way to Disney in the Theme Park forum. :rotfl2:

Epcot: Japanese gardens/koi pond area, Canada gardens, catch a show of impressions de France, China gardens, there are some grassy areas with benches near the wonders of life Pavilion/mission space.

Magic Kingdom: tomorrowland terrace noodle station outside of peak dining hours is pretty quiet. Tangled bathrooms in the charging area (you can bring a charging cord - USB or plug - and charge your electronics). There are a few seating areas on Tom sawyer island.

Hollywood studios: for me it was writers stop and the studio catering Co but I think those are closed for now, possibly forever. You could catch the movie in one man's dream.

Animal kingdom: there are benches scattered throughout the pangani forest trail and the maharaja trek.

I am never here that long to really know that many places

also you can go to first aid if you need a break

I think you can tell where I spend most of my time.

MK -- benches by the restrooms/City Hall, Tiki Room, sitting area near Splash/under train station, Gaston's fountain isn't very shady but I enjoy the scenery, PeopleMover, Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Terrace if not seasonally open, the train or monorail loops.

Epcot -- anywhere inside the Living Seas, jumping fountains outside Imagination, Japanese gardens, the back courtyard in Morocco, gardens in England, down near the movie in Canada.

HS -- My usual quiet rest area is now under construction. Umm... courtyard near the exit of ToT (Tower of Terror), maybe? The park is in such a flux at the moment it's difficult to tell where anything will be good. See if they'll let you sit in the tables outside Studio Catering Co. or the Brown Derby? Might be some benches near TSMM (Toy Story Midway Mania).

Animal Kingdom -- take Rafiki's train to the planet watch, Nemo show, there should be some benches with a fountain near Kali River Rapids.... someone else probably has better insight since I'm usually in and out of the park due to allergies.

The Carousel of Progress is my favorite followed by Mickey's PhilharMagic. AK is the hardest place to find a nice spot IMO.

MK: tent at Storybook Circus next to the characters meet and greets, it's shaded, has fans, plugs to charge your phone and a lot of chairs and lounge chairs
Epcot: Inside Character Spot (next to Club Cool) there are tables and chairs, it's air conditioned. Innoventions also has some charges and charging stations
DHS: One Man's Dream and Launch Bay
AK: Walking from Africa to Asia, there's a little trail that veers towards the left and it goes "uphill" before Flights of Wonder, there's a couple of tables and chairs and it's always empty

My Dh and one of my girls fell asleep on the floor (!) in the storybook circus tent, while #3 played in the splash area- it was totally empty.

Epcot - The lobby to the movie in China. Blessedly cool, nice art and exhibits on the walls, and benches to sit.

Epcot - A table at the outside seating area at the Liberty Inn. Grab a cold drink (beer is sold right at the kiosk in front of here), sit and relax while people watching.

Animal Kingdom - catch a show of Flights of Wonder
