Best resort with younger kids?

Kids would probably like the Hard Rock Hotel best. I haven't stayed there, but visited it and the pool.

The pool is awesome. Rock music played underwater (YES...underwater!!) and it has a water slide.

I heard kids enjoy Royal Pacific as well. It doesn't have a slide but a little play area by the pool. But the theming isn't anything that would make kids go crazy like the music theme might. RPH is just..."pretty." :) HRH is "cool."

Skip Portifino Bay. Too pretty, etc. They do have a pool with 2 water slides, but you can always pool hop.

I just picture PBH as more of a "romantic" hotel and the other two more family friendly (though I picture HRH more family friendly between it and RPH)

So, either Hard Rock or Royal Pacific.

Our 3 year old loved the water play area at the pool!!!!

We met a few people when we went in May that assumed that the HRH is not for the under teens age...one mother told me that she assumed there was nothing there for kids....SO NOT TRUE!!! My 11 and 7 yr old sons would tell you that the HRH is the coolest place to be!!!! It drips of COOLNESS!!! Here's a few reasons why:
---The pool is totally awesome!!! Waterslide, underwater music and a hot tub!!! Way cool at any age!!!
---They got to watch SHREK on a big movie screen while lazing around in innertubes in the pool
---They got to participate in sheduled activities like a water balloon toss and water basketball.
---Giant, colorful, dancing bears on the walls, guitars and saxaphones for chandeliers..and come on, even if you don't know who Gene Simons from KISS is, a larger than life poster of him all dressed up waggling his tongue is going to be waaaay cool to anyone!!
---They actually thought their mom was HIP cuz I was able to clue them into some of the things around the hotel, being the huge hard rock fan that I am. My coolness factor went WAAAAY up.
---And consider this, it is exactly a five min walk from the pool to the front gate of UNV (I timed it walking at a normal pace:p )).
Adults and kids alike were grateful that we did not have to deal with jampacked shuttle buses with exhausted, whiny kids!!

We'll never stay anywhere else!!!

So far my kid is too young to think I am anything else but cool, but I love your coolness!! lol I can't wait to show her the coolness of the Hard Rock. We hope to pool hop a few times!!

Maria1234....I miss that age!! But I'm pretty lucky..I have one going into middle school this year (yikes!! where does the time go?) and he still thinks I'm cool and so do all his friends..I do alot of volunteer work with the kids and we have lots of fun....let's see what happens when he hits high school though!!. But staying at the Hard Rock definitely helped the coolness thing along! BTW...when u hop over there go into the ice cream shop near the restaurant (u can go in ur bathing suit) and eat one of those wonderfully delicious huge cookies for me, will ya!! They are the best I've tasted anywhere and not to be missed!! I WANNA GO NOW!!!
