Best resort to spend New Years in

I would love your help in answering this question. We've already decided to spend our trip at AKL (very excited ), but will be arriving on new years eve. We thought it would be wonderful to relax at the resort, have a drink, and watch the amazing fireworks from a balcony. Now the only problem is, WHICH ONE!!!

My vote is the Boardwalk Villas. A room with a Boardwalk view. From there you get to look out over the Boardwalk and watch the EPCOT fireworks. Staying there also gives the option of walking to two different parks to watch the fireworks.

If you are staying at AKL, I don't get what you mean. Do you mean which balcony (I.e. room) you should try to get, or which fireworks are you going to watch from the balcony?

Can you see any fireworks at all from the AKL?

Do you need a room for the first night (12/31)? We are staying at the Dolphin for NYE. I love the Epcot resorts and the fact that you don't need to rely on busses on NYE.
