Best resort for January?

We're considering going in Jan. and have never been there when it wasn't warm. Which is a good resort (for adults and kids 11-5) when it isn't warm enough to swim? Does it matter? We've done WL a couple times and were thinking of doing something different.

I'd vote for either the Beach Club (very close to MGM & EPCOT & the Boardwalk) or the Polynesian (close to the MK & TTC). Both of these are very nice resorts. I really like the BC, as it is such a quick walk to EPCOT & the Boardwalk.

We have been there the last two januarys, and have swam almost everyday.

You might get lucky, it could be warm.

DD and GF went this pas tJan 8 for a week. Temp's were in 80's and humid. They swam every night at Pop.

We have been in January four out of the last five January's. Swam two, wore coats two We like to stay in the Epcot area. At that time of year Epcot is the only park with regular hours til 9. I guess with the rotating extra hours in the parks now, it is not as big a factor. But we do like being able to walk to Epcot and MGM and it is nice to stroll the Boardwalk on the way back and stop at the Bakery!!!

I'm thinking about CSR, because they have a very nice playground, bike rental, boat rental...just in case it isn't warm enough to swim (though with such a great looking pool I sure do hope it IS warm enough to swim, at least a couple days). My DD needs daily breaks, but doesn't nap, so we've got to have something to keep her occupied. Any old pool would do, even the Values, especially the pop jets at Pop Century...but since it MIGHT be too cold, I'm thinking I need some other alternatives.

We travel often in January. It is always easy to find something to do during the day, so our biggest concern is that the parks normally close quite early. We enjoy being in the BC/YC area because of the quick walk to EPCOT and the boardwalk. Our girls are 4 and 6 and they really enjoy both.
