Best Resort for Adjoining Rooms?

In your opinion, is there a preferred resort that you feel is best for requesting adjoining rooms? I understand getting adjoining rooms isn't a guarantee, but would like to know if anyone has strong opinions over a particular resort.

Details are:
4 adults, 1 child 2.5 yo (will have stroller)
Planning to visit WDW for a week in late Sept/early Oct 2011

We expect to visit a park every other day. The 'off' days would be spent at the resort.

Thanks!

My Dreams Unlimited TA suggested we stay away from the All Star Music if we want connecting rooms. I think what you mean is connecting, with the inside door between the 2? Adjoining rooms are next to each other with no inner door. A good number of the connecting rooms at the Music were converted to the Family Suites, so there are fewer connecting rooms there than at the other Value resorts.

Do you want connecting rooms or adjoining rooms? The two terms have very different meanings to the room assigner.

Adjoining simply means that you want rooms that are as close as possible to one another. Might be right next door, or across the hall, or down the hall, etc.

Connecting means two rooms side-by-side that have an internal door between them, so that you don't have to go out into the hallway to go between rooms. If this is what you want, be sure to use the word 'connecting' on your room request.

That said, I don't think you're more or likely to get your request granted at a particular resort. It depends on whether there are any connecting pairs of rooms available for the dates of your stay, and that's not dependent on which resort you choose.

Ah, good point! I thought I had that definition memorized... Yes, I would most likely want a CONNECTING room.

Interesting to hear about the Music resort as I wouldn't have even thought to stay there.

all wdw resorts have some connecting rooms. too many kids visit WDW for disney not to have connecting rooms.

so just pick what you like or near your favorite park.

value - budget - Pop Century
moderate - middle range - Port Orleans (okay CSR is a good choice too)
deluxe - higher priced - Polyn, BC, or WL
deluxe villa - can be even more expensive - BLT, VWL, BCV, BWV, AKV, OKW, or SSR

parks
Epcot - BCV, BWV or BLT (monrail)
MK - BLT or VWL
Studios - BWV or BCV
ak - AKV

for the deluxe villa - you can only get a studio and 1-bedroom connecting - not 2 studios or two 1-bedroom.

Pop is building their own family suites across the lake - so that may be a choice too.

My family has had a connecting room every time we have stayed at CBR....although we have NEVER requested one.
