Best resort for a birthday?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if the DVC resorts at Walt Disney World celebrate birthdays similarly? I have noted a birthday for an upcoming trip, the birthday occurs during our stay, and am wondering if there are any differences.

A few years ago, we celebrated a birthday at the Polynesian. At the end of the day, we returned to our room and found a Polynesian resort chocolate bar, as well as a few other small items, on our table.

I celebrated my bday at BLT once, but nothing special was really done.... Just this summer, I celebrated my bday at the BCV but we didn't inform them that it was my bday... I wore a shirt saying that it was my bday and every single cast member I ran into went off about how I needed a bday pin and I finally got one at 9 that night.... I also got a bunch of balloons at that time too....

Nothing is guaranteed & there is a 50/50 chance that you will be acknowledged.

We always stay DVC & have been there on my DD's b-day several times. I always bring my own balloons & room decorations. I also order preorder a cake which gets delivered to our table at dinner.

Hope your friend/family member has a terrific b-day. Don't forget to get that free b-day button!

sometime it depends upon who checks you in - so would not use online check in.

definitely get the birthday bulletin - now if she is shy - this can be embassing.

the CM in the parks are trained to see the pin and will generally say something.

also the counter service/bakery - sometimes the CM (if they see the pin) will give her sometime free (meal, cookies, etc) -

none of this is guaranteed - so she might not get anything - but the pin definitely helps.
