Best resort for 3 year old?

I've narrowed it down to Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, AKL or Contemporary. We are going the first week of next December. Any of those resorts do a better job at decorating for Christmas? So many things to consider! Thought my little guy would like the animals but now I'm worried about long bus waits and rides. Which one of the resorts I've listed has the best theming or attractions for little ones?

From what I have heard WL is the best for Christmas decorations. I think the rooms are more at Christmas time than they are any other time. We are staying at WL for our next trip because of being able to take an open stroller on the boat to MK.

So you road the monorail to the TTC changed monorails to the Epcot monorail road it to Epcot entered Epcot walked all the way through Epcot out the Internation Gate which is a very long walk got on the boat to DHS and did the 20-25 minute ride stopping at the BW, YC/BC then the Swan/Dolphin on your way to DHS to keep from riding a bus? So you also had park hoppers? I'm also guessing you meant DHS not HWS?

LOL, yes and no, not as bad as it sounds. We always have park hoppers and never spend a whole day in the same park. So ... walk to Contemporary, monorail to TTC, monorail to Epcot, a couple of hours there, out the International Gate and ride to Hollywood Studios for a couple of hours, then reverse the process stopping in Epcot for dinner.
We normally don't use Disney Transportation at all, with the exception of the monorail from TTC to MK but DGS had as much fun on the different transportation methods we used as he did in the parks. Once he is out of his stroller it is no easy task to get him back in, so busses were not a good option.

Of your choices, I'd do Beach Club or Contemporary. Stayed at both, and the proximity to the parks is best. I've never stayed at WL, but having only a boat to MK and all, it never appealed to me. Stayed many times at AKL. Last time was at the villas at Kidani, and although I got a great deal on a one bedroom rental, and I was super glad I had gotten it since we had our son unexpectedly join us so we needed the extra bed space, I won't stay there again. I found the bus service at Pop Century much better than the AKL or AKV. Plus, the quick service was nice but didn't have many options. First time I stayed there was fun, and second time having club level was really very nice (I think I'd stay there again if I was club level).

I like the walk to Epcot for the Beach Club.

Go with what you want and what parks you want to spend most time at.
