Best rental car place?

Hi we are going in August and renting a car to drive from NY to Fl.
I was hoping someone can help me with the best places to rent, discounts etc.

I like to shop for rentals using the CarRentalSavers website. They have lots of options for potential discounts (location, group affiliation, etc).

Once I find a good rate, I go to the company's website and rent directly from them. I always find the same rate, and sometimes can add coupons (like those found on MouseSavers to bring the rate down more.

Oh, and I prefer to stay with the large chains/companies and personally prefer Avis due to their relationship with USAA, otherwise I enjoy the National/Alamo group.

I frequently use Priceline. You can get a good price and they always use the major rental car companies. I haven't found much difference between Avis, Hertz, Budget, Enterprise, Alamo, etc.
