Which rental car agency would you consider the best as far as price goes? Also, we are four people and 2 dogs (not small dogs) driving down to FL from MA. Which type of car would you suggest asking for in this instance? Thanks.

Whichever ones offering the best dal at the time you are looking. That sounds flip, but that's the bottom line.

I haven't noticed one major car rental company that always offers cheaper rates than the others. I usually book the company that offers the best rate for a particular trip, and for the last 5 trips I've used National, Alamo (twice), Hertz, and Budget.
