I was just noticing that for my stay (11/28-12/4) there are still rooms available at the moderates (didn't check other offerings). Seems to me under the old AP call in system, rooms at the lower AP price vanished VERY quickly. :rotfl: Often as early as mid morning on the day those codes were announced! Now it seems like w/ this Best Rate program, Disney may have shaved off a little of the old deeper discounts....but they also opened up more rooms! :cool1: Anyone else still noticing availability at their travel time???

I'm not so sure it's a matter of more rooms as much as it is fewer people willing to commit and put down a non-refundable deposit.

I haven't checked this week but CSR didn't have standard view available for those dates when I was looking a week ago but still has the more expensive water view. There's still alot available if you aren't set on your resort or are willing to get a better view.

When I tried to book POFQ several weeks ago, I could only get std view...now, water view is also available. :confused3 I suppose you're right, there probably are many people unwilling to put down the non-refundable deposit. Just thought it was strange to still see s much availability under the program at this later date.....

I just booked a standard view at CSR for 12/2 yesterday.

Couldn't get anything to show up for any MK or EPCOT deluxe or DVC resort though. There were still studios at SSR and standard views at AKL.

I just booked standard view at Coronado Springs for $121.54 ($109.00) for 3 nights before Thanksgiving. Thats a 37% discount on rack, so I am pleased. We might even try DME. The trip is only for 3 nights, 4 days and the cheapest car rental I could find was $117.20 with Budget.

I am confused about this best rate.

I need POP for Nov 30, 9 nights. I have AP's, so what do I do, wait for codes??? Mousesavers says they are out for some room until Dec 19th, but I called today and got rack 77.00 a night.

What am I missing? help pleeeeaaasseee :love2:

To get the AP Best Rate Program Rates you have to book on the passholder website 120 days (or more) before arrival date. I put in your dates of Nov 30th for 9 nights and was getting a quote of $592.20 for 9 nights. ($59.00 per night plus 11.5% room tax) at Pop Century, that comes to $65.80 per night.

I just booked another best rate reservation for the Value Season at Pop arriving Dec 19th to Dec 26th.
DH doesn't like to walk (he is old), so I booked a preferred room for $71 plus tax at Pop using the best guest rate program.

How did you get that? I logged into AP site too and I got 772.74. But after I logged with AP info, and choose room and dates, it asked me for login again but not AP login, just my regular log in??? I must be doing something wrong... :scared: arggggg

It should work for you. Log in both ways, then go into Special Offers in the AP section. You should see the Best Rate program. Put your dates in and see what happens. Good luck! :wizard:

I called and made my reservation because there were no villas or a garden suite that would show for an option. Do they just not offer them. The CM I talked to told me to try but still nothing?

I was booking this for that price and the site went down for maintenance! Yikes ! Its a good deal though so I am going for it.

Thanks to you all for the help!

Can't speak for the BWI, but I doubt there will be AP rates offered for the BWV. The time between Thanksgiving and New Year's is very popular with DVC members. Many make their reservations for that time as soon as the booking window opens. Don't think there are very many rooms left even for rack rate during that time at the BWV. No need for Disney to offer any discounts to fill the rooms.

If you have your heart set on staying in a 1 bedroom (or a studio) at the BWV, you were wise to make the reservation at rack. JMHO. YMMV.

Don't forget. With the nonrefundable deposit, you don't have people making multiple reservations to allow themselves time to decide which hotel they want to stay in. Could have something to do with seemingly more rooms.

I got it! 592.11 ! I think that is great for us! Thanks for all the help!

What are your dates? I've been looking at possibly changing a 2-night reservation at POFQ to BWI or YC (from 12/2-12/4) and it is showing availability in all room types.

You need to check the site several times a day as rooms come and go. I posted a couple of weeks ago that I was needing an AKL del. sav room 11/24-11/27. For days and days, I could only see a standard room on the Best Rate site. Then, I hit it lucky and there it was. I booked it immediately. Then I went back in to see if there were more rooms just like mine available, and there were not. So, happily, I called CRO and cancelled my previously booked rack rate room. Saved $80 per night, and expecting for that discount to be greater in about another month... :cool1:

Just for grins and giggles, I just now logged back in to check availability for those same days again and at AKL they have a savannah view or deluxe water view available.
Seems there are several rooms available at the resorts for 11/24-11/27. But I find that the monorail resorts are harder to get.
