I have read a lot of complaints about the program, I agree with most of it, and with that being said

My question is, there is nothing at the GF, WL, CT which are the three I would like for our December trip. If I book online with the best rate at a Moderate and WL or GF or CT become availiable with BR can or how do you switch it ?

That would be something that you would have to call them to do... that cannot be done online.

It's my understanding that you are locked in. Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Unless they've made changes AGAIN (!), you should be able to make modifications to your reservation as long as you spend more $$ ;) They were allowing guests to upgrade their resort and/or add more days. :goodvibes

Ok, that was my understanding too RachelTori, you can make changes if you upgrade which is what I would be doing, But...Do you do it on the computer or call Disney? For instance, if I book online now with a moderate, keep checking back on the computer and Wow GF or WL is open for those dates , do I call and have them change it ??? :confused3 Or must you do it online ? Because I don't see how you can make modifications online ?? :badpc:

I do know that you would have to call - you can't make changes on-line. You can call (407) 939-7429 - if it's still working (I know they're constantly making changes so who knows :confused3 ) So keep checking for availability and if you see what you want, I'd call right away so they can change it. Good luck! :wizard:

Thanks RachelTori I do not like this new system, so many changes to learn.
Kind of scared to make a ressie just in case something happens, you loose your money or miss out on the resort you want.

I don't think you should worry. Just make sure of your dates, that's the tricky part! Make sure you do it at least 60 days from your arrival date. They'll charge your account for one night (that's the non-refundable part) and you pay the balance at check-in. Book what's available now that you can be happy about; then keep checking to see if the others become available. As long as you don't try to *down-grade* there shouldn't be any problems.

Once you make your ressie on-line, you can check on it as often as you want and you can also *create* your itinerary. It's really not so bad and I actually think many of us will come to appreciate it in time. Just wish this was "in addition to" the old way of booking AP rates, but who knows, they may bring 'em back yet!!! ;)

Haven't they gotten rid of the change fee?

I might be looking to knock my 3 night reservation down to 1 night if I can get the last two at DVC. Unfortunately the first night is not refundable. If I'm charged 50 bucks to change it it might still be worth going over to DVC.

I had to do some online, and some by phone. I made my changes about 2 weeks ago. I upgraded from ASMu to POFQ. I had to book the new room online at POFQ and then call and cxl my ressie at ASMu. I was not charged the $50 and received the refund for my deposit on my ASMu within 24 hours. I tried just to change the resort over the phone, but the CM said that I had to do it online. I was still 60+ days out so I could still use BRP to book the new room.
