If you had to pick, would you chose Cookes of Dublin or Yorkshire?

TIA! :goodvibes

They are both very good but Cooks has shrimp and scallops that are very good also.

Haven't been to Cookes of Dublin. But I haven't been happy with Yorkshire since they changed recipes a couple of years ago. I rarely go all the way out to DTD though.

We're planning on going to DTD for dinner/shopping on our arrival day since we'll be coming in late in the afternoon and don't want to "waste" a park day. I have been wanting to go to Yorkshire, but I'm wondering if Cookes is the better use of a CS credit...? I'm starting to think it might be better to use some CS credits for lunch during our Epcot day at one of the bakeries in the WS (instead of Yorkshire) so we can get super amazing desserts. I dunno :confused3

Where is Cookes? Never heard of it.

Downtown Disney, attached to Raglan Road. I have an annual, so I'm not left with a non-park day on any trip. Used to go to DTD a lot until the PI clubs were closed. Nothing there to do for me now.

I am not sure about the whole applying dining credits thing because I don't use DDP. But I do know that Yorkshire only has shortbread cookies for a dessert. If the dessert matters a lot to you, Cookes has other and more unusual options, including fried candy bars.

I have eaten regular fish n chips and the scallop dinner at Cooke's.

Cooke's is very bland food. If you like bland, fried food, it's the place to be.

(The fried Doh bar was horrible. Sounded so good. But don't waste your time or the calories. Just eat a Snickers candy bar. It's much better.)

Have not tried the fish n chips in UK pavilion.

I haven't been to Cookes either, but I agree about Yorkshire. Three years ago we had great fish & chips, and looked forward to it again. This past May the batter was very heavy and we really did not enjoy it at all. Also, the prewrapped shortbread cookie, I think, is a pretty lame dessert. Way better WS CS choices in my opinion.

Honestly, we have not been pleased with either on our recent visit. We went with Cooke's in May and Yorkshire in Oct and on both trips we also had Columbia Harbour House and everyone agreed it was far better. Now keep in mind we are rating greasy fish and chips but everyone liked CHH better.
