Hi everyone! I did a search for this and couldn't find what I was looking for, but I apologize if this has already been asked/answered.

I am making my very FIRST trip to the World this December and am planning out my dining reservations now (I'm a little excited lol) - I decided I really want to do a Princess breakfast, but there are a few to choose from and I was wondering which was best? Please vote and tell me why you like that one best!

Other people might not like it too much, but you can't beat breakfast in the Castle! I think it's so delicious, especially the stuffed french toast. They also have fresh fruit and pretty good coffee (I don't think it's Nescafe like everywhere else) Have fun on your trip!!!

I didn't care for Akershus breakfast in Epcot. It was just ok. Princesses only spent about a min each with us and the food was just so so. Skillet was good, but buffet items were just so-so.

CRT is a unique experience; the Castle location is tough to beat. I like the food and princess interaction and cost and ease of getting a reservation a lot better at Akershus, but I think you owe it to yourself to try CRT at some point.

Or do both. :)

We had Akershus (Storybook) on our list as a potential for our next trip, but I was just reading another thread and saw how limited the menu is. (No Mickey Waffles!!) CRT was already on our list, but we had thought dinner, but I might change that to breakfast instead.

We do bfast at Akershus each year--LOVE IT!
(and every year we ask for Mickey Waffles and get them for no extra charge!!! you just have to ask)
princess interaction is fantastic --we always get ADR for 11am breakfast and are usually one of the last families in for bfast and fine that before starting their rouns on "lunch" the princesses hang out with us, chatting, for a long time as we finish up our meal

Or do both. :)

I would, but this predominantly an eating trip. My DH and I are coming without our twin girls, so we really want to focus on the food - and I know from reading that buffets are almost completely about the character interaction and not food quality. So while I'd love to do both - and will when we come back with the girls, since our focus will be all on the characters - I really don't want to waste what limited dining time we have on two not great buffets.

Am I missing another good princess breakfast that's better?

Although we LOVED both, I voted Cinderella's Castle. I think for a first time, it's so magical to eat in the Castle. Little girls get wands and boys get swords....the kids get "wishing stars" and there's a big ceremony they do w/ their wants and making a wish on their star. It's so incredible sweet to watch your child's face while it's all going on. It was one of my favorite memories of our trip. (oh, and my DH and I also got a wand and sword...it was awesome!!) :cutie:

I think it's worth doing for sure. They make a HUGE deal when each Princess comes out and makes her grand appearance .....each princess is announced and everyone claps....:lovestruc

At Akershus it's much more subdued. Don't get me wrong, it was a fantastic experience. If you're going to do both, space them out. I kind of made a mistake and did both for breakfast one day after the other. (thankfully, she was too young to notice that they were different princessess than at the previous breakfast. but I won't do that again!) :rolleyes1

I would love to hear fomr more people who have done BOTH CRT and Akershus and can compare the two...

We love, love, LOVE Akershus breakfast it is a must do for us. Don't get me wrong we do really enjoy eating in the castle because of the ambiance, but as for food and character interaction...nothing beats Akershus.

We have done both, if you haven't been to CRT before its worth doing at least the one time for the experience. We have done Akershus every time since, the breakfast is good, the interaction was great and they dont rush you like we felt they did at CRT, just my opinion.

I agree.

I have been to CRT twice now-1999 and 2009. My younger niece hasn't been but doesn't seem to care, so we will do Akershus again.

Both times at CRT I felt rushed through the meal. The server took my niece's plate away after I was trying to get her to eat. Her entire waffle was sitting on the plate and she hadn't eaten anything. CRT has photos with Cinderella.

Akershus had more character interaction. The food was okay. When I took my niece to the bathroom, the servers cleared our table. I purposely didn't pay for the tip and left my camera sitting on the table so they knew we would be back.

If another server clears the table again, I'm going to make a huge stink. I'm so sick of them thinking I'm done, when I'm not. I just thought of a great idea-Making a little note to stick on my table when I have to leave it saying that I will be back to eat soon!

Nope. Those are the two Princess breakfast options. I like the Akershus one better for food and character interaction, as well as the overall experience. The Castle is a nice experience, too, though.

I have done both multiple times, and Akershus wins in every category for me except for the category of "Being inside the Castle". :)

We've done both and I vote the castle. My DD 11 has ALWAYS been a princess lover. We have eaten in the castle many times and did Akershus once when she was 5 or 6. The next trip, the first question was still can we eat in the castle? She never once asked to return to Akershus. Our trip coming up in Dec, it is still tops on her list~ at almost 12 yrs old. The castle to us is just so much more magical and 'Dsiney'. If you've never been, I think it's a 'must' to do at least once.
Food wise~ I'd say breakfast at the castle is our favorite. Can't beat the french stuffed toast! Akershus probably has a few more offerings, but all the adults on our trip (party of 11) prefer the castle for food as well. And, if you want something that isn't offered, ask... we've asked for a couple things and they've always provided. The experience of the castle just can't be beat. Down to the waiters and waitresses who speak with their British accents and address you as royalty. It is just a magical experience and the breakfast food is good!
