Which of the 3 has the best grocery prices? I get to make a grocery stop on my way to WDW in a towncar, and I'm wondering which is generally cheapest.

Thanks for any advice. :D

I say Publix (but then again I'm biased since DH works for Publix). Winn Dixie has good prices if you have their customer rewards card, but at Publix there are always lots of buy one, get one free deals every week and you do NOT need any special card. I would say Publix since their stores are also very clean and well staffed.
Hope this helps.

I would have to go with Publix here too. I usually go to WalMart, but, there are items they don't have and we just stop at Publix on the way back to OKW.
The store is always clean, the people that work there are super nice and they are helpful. They should be up here in CT training people. :)

I know this wasn't one the options, but I would go with Walmart Supercenter because you can get not just groceries but any items you need!!!!!!!! Just a thought!!!!

For me, it's a toss-up between Publix & Winn Dixie. Yes, you need the WD savings card to get better deals... but it takes 2 minutes to get one.

We ended up at WD the last 2 trips as the 2003 Entertainment book had $5 off coupons for WD. (Not sure about the 2004 Entertainment book).

We were just down over Thanksgiving and prior to that Columbus day and we really checked it out as we were doing a big meal for the holiday. Publix has no card needed and the prices were the best of the three.

Thanks, everyone! I forgot to mention that I do have a Winn Dixie card. I applied online for one, even though I don't have any W/D stores around here. I travel alot, so I knew I'd eventually use it. ;)

But, card or no card, it sounds like Publix might be my best choice. I appreciate all your advice! :D

LOL, that is the one I use for most of my shopping, best prices for sure, but, for items I cannot find we use Publix, next best prices.

The main reason I didn't include Super Walmart is because last time I went there (had a rental car), it was packed and the lines were huge. It took forever to get in and out. Of course, I realize that the same thing can happen at any given time at a grocery store too.

The other reason is because I LOVE Walmart stores. It would be all too easy for me to find all kinds of stuff to look at, and miss my half hour time limit by a few hours or so. Know what I mean? :p
