Best price for iPod touch

Hi all,
I am looking for an iPod touch for my son for his birthday next week. Target has one 8 gig 4th generation for 195 plus a 20 target gift card. Are there any better deals out there??

Just a suggestion -- if your son is older than 8 or 9, I'd suggest getting the 32 gb -- 8 will get filled up really quickly. The best bet is a refurbished one from Apple -- I have the link on my google chrome bookmarks but can't get Chrome to open this morning, so you can probably go to Apple and search "refurbished." My DS16 bought one for $179. They have a brand new battery, new back plate, and have been thoroughly checked out. (these are the older iPods, though, without the camera.)

there was not a 3rd gen 8GB itouch so this is really a 2nd gen one...iOS is not upgradeable

This is incorrect, DBF started out with a 3rd gen 8 gig and DD15 currently has a 3rd gen that is 8 gig.

OP my DD15 is fine with 8 gigs, she has plenty of space on her iTouch.

I know what I bought...I still have the original receipts. 3rd Gen 8 gig iTouch. I wanted to get 16 gig but they only had 8 or 32 to chose from.

Target often has printable 10% off i-pod coupons. That can be combined with the 5% from the Pharmacy Rewards and the 5% from the Red Card and you still get the gift card promotion and if you have any $off/$ coupons use that too (I know I currently have a $5 off $75 coupon). I got mine for $121 at Target before Christmas.

I have to say I have a 8 gig 4th gen and don't have any problem with the size. I have several movies on it and several hundred songs and plenty of apps. I also don't have a problem keeping just a few movies on and switching them off when I'm ready for something new (you can always use the cloud to make it even easier).
