Best price at GF?

Hello: What's the best price for a standard room you were able to book in the last while at GF? We're planning to go in Oct and was wondering what was good?

I was just quoted $264 a night for next week at the GF. However, my family really wants Beach Club, but their booked. I keep calling every few hours to see if there is an opening. Nothing like my husband saying "Lets go to Disney next week!". LOL

We went last year the beginning of October at the GF...September 30- Oct 7th actually. Unfortunately we were able to take advantage of the Fairy Tale Vacation package that was held at that time. It was buy 4 days and 4 nights, and get 3 days and 3 nights free. It was a great deal though, and I hope some day in the future they will have it again!

In the Fall of 2001, we got an AP rate of $199 at the GF. It was the best rate we ever received there.

I also received that $199 rate around Christmas of that same year. That was before the Holiday rates picked up. I haven't seen another rate that good since.

We got $199 (either AP or Fl Resident) at the beginning of this year. Then we lucked out and got upgraded to the corner room in Conch Key (Lagoon front on one side, Marina front on the other with two balconies). That was the single best WDW resort value we've ever had.
