Best Prepaid Cell phone plan for me?

We are listing our house FSBO and I want to get a prepaid cell phone number for the inquiries, rather than my phone. If I knew we would be using it a lot I would get the straight talk $30 monthly plan - but I am not sure we will be using it enough to pay $30 month.

I think I need something with a low minute rate, but that I can buy 100-200 minutes for to last several months.

Trying to decide which provider to use - help!

you can get a decent phone for as little as $10. Then for $40 you can get 200 talk minutes (probably 400 if you get a double minute phone, which most of them are) that are good for 90 days. There are also lots of coupons available to get bonus minutes.

We have had these for years and have been very happy. I get the $100 card that gives me 400 minutes (actually 800+ with my phone and a coupon) that is good for a year. A text counts as 1/3 of a minute.

There are lots of options for how many minutes you buy.

Check out www.tracfone.com. You can purchase them at any big box store.

I had an ATT pre-pay phone for a long time. I wish I could remember all the details. I know you could get unlimited but I only did that for a month or two since I didn't use enough to justify it. I think it cost me around $30 a month, but I used it more than you are planing to.
