Best Poolbar at a DVC resort?

I think the Uzima Springs Pool Bar at AKV Jambo house is great.

I LOVE the gurgling suitcase at OKW. They actually have specialty drinks there, which I have noticed are disappearing from most poolbars at WDW. You can also go in and get out of the shade or bring a drink back to lounge chair. Perfect for any situation!

Gurgling Suitcase is actually my favorite - spent an afternoon in there once drinking turtle krawls, eating Olivia's wings and watching "Robin Hood - Men in Tights" on TV with a bunch of other slackers - more fun than going to a park.

That's my fave drink! I actually look up the recipe on my blackberry whenever i'm at a different pool bar in WDW, so they can make it for me!

I know you have to be staying at BLT to get to the Cove Bar and Pool. Is that true of some of the other DVC pool bars?

First choice, the pool bar at the pool in the grandstand section of SSR. Its always nice and quiet...

Second choice, the gurggeling suitcase (sp?)...

Best bar, non-pool category, the Bellvue Lounge at the Boardwalk...

We love The Gurgling Suitcase. It has had some of the friendliest bartenders. We really miss Robbie, he was the best. Had some fun evenings there with him and several fellow DVCer's. Ramona was a hoot, too. Turtle Krawls are the best!! "One Turtle Krawl, two Turtle Krawl, three road kill!" A bit of bartender wisdom, courtesy of Robbie and gang.

I will be at BLT sunday.I will give it a try.Although the photo makes the pool abr look like a roadide rest stop
But as long as the drinks are frosty I will be Ok.

I just hope the 12 people in my studio is not a problem.

Did not like the pool bar at BLT.
The bartender had ZERO personality.
The place looks like a snack bar at a hockey game.
I like to be able to see what is happening not staring a clueless bartender.
I prefer Leaping horse at BWV .

Wow - we are going to be at WDW over Memorial Day weekend and have a whole day planned at AK. Instead of lunch in the park, I wonder if I we could wander over to Kidani Village, get over to that bar and order some poolside dining of tandoori chicken and batsami rice!!



Yes, you can...I just read a post from someone yesterday, but can't find it. (I admit, it may actually have been posted on the "other" Disney info site : ( ) Apparently they they have limited selections directly at the bar, but you can order some limited items from Sanaa and it will be delivered to you "poolside" in Bento boxes (cool!). Tandoori Chicken was on the special menu! I believe this pool bar (at Kidani) also has a view of the savannah??? If so - that's pretty awesome in my book!
