We're staying the first time as DVC members at BLT 9/26-10/3 and am planning to pool hop 2 of the days we're there. The CR pools look cool and so does the Poly. Can we hop to the Poly?

And if you were going to "hop" where would you go OKW? WL? Help! I'm an over planner and want to have an idea of where we're going those days...

Thanks!

Hands down - the Poly.

We just pool hopped for our first time since I was a child camping in Ft. W. (they allowed PH back then). Spent a leisurely afternoon swimming, enjoying the barefoot bar, eating at O'hana's and then out to the beach to claim a few lounge chairs and watch Wishes over the lake.

I'll repeat that day again :wizard: (well, trade out O'hanas for Kona)

Sorry - can't find "CSR" on the common abrv. list. What does it stand for?

Noticed your kids ages in you siggie; POFQ has a very fun themed pool and the slide is just right for kids.

Here's link to photo of King Triton/sea serpent slide from all ears net and there's additional photos there too.

POFQ food court has huge mardi gras/carnival themed items hanging from ceiling and the beignets are awesome :thumbsup2 .

:goodvibes

Ditto & nice job twinklybug describing the wonders of pooling hopping at the Poly. My kids call it the volcano pool b/c the slide is designed like a volcano.

BWV is fun too w/ kids b/c of the Keister Coaster Slide (designed like an old fashioned wooden roller coaster. The BW also has plenty to do & see.

WL is awesome too & you can go watch the Electrical Water Pageant at the beach.

POFQ looks really cool! - yes my kids are small so pool with zero entry and smaller slides work well - thanks so much. I figure we'll have time to get to 2 or 3 pools.

So far on the list are:
Poly - Just too easy to get there from BLT
POFQ - I love that slide and if you say its good for smaller kids I just have to try it out
#3 - to be decided :confused3

Poly for sure....We spent like five hours there a few weeks ago...The kids loved the slide, the large waterfalls and the zero entry...I loved the view!

Our girls love the Poly pool. So we hop over there at least once when we go down to WDW. We also like the pool at the Coronado.

We keep meaning to pool hop but in 49 trips we have yet to manage it.

We put the kids in their suits, grab the swim gear, walk past the pool we're staying at (usually vwl or okw) and the next thing we know they've jumped in the pool. :confused3

If it's wet, they're happy. One of these days we'll pool hop, I'm sure.

Favorite pools:

CSR-that slide is fast!

OKW-really enjoy the slide and Olivia's cafe right next to it.

Orleans' slide looks really cool, it's our biggest temptation because both kids are obsessed with dragons.

The rest of the pools, vwl, ssr, bwv, they were fine but I wouldn't go out of my way for them.

The Poly pool is fun for sure, but it isn't very big and can get crowded, just something to keep in mind. If you are staying at BLT though, then I would go there just since it's a Monorail ride away! We may pool hop there ourselves next trip.

We love the SSR pool. It has a very small slide that my younger two love since they don't do the bigger slides at all the other pools. And my older two love the full-size slide. It has zero entry and a splash area.

The POFQ pool is nice for younger ones. It has a very cute theme! The slide is an in between size...not big, not small. We may use the slide here to transition our younger two to a bigger slide actually!

I've heard great things about the CSR pool, we want to try that one out sometime..

We hopped to CSR when we had the meal vouchers(yes many years ago) or the DDP so we could do a meal at Pepper Market while there. The kids loved that pool.

I think the mods have the best pools on property outside of SAB - the theming is much more whimsical (pirate ship @ CBR, pyramid @ CSR, Mardi Gras @ POFQ) and all of them have food courts that put CS dining at deluxes to SHAME.

But - the loop of SSR/OKW/POFQ/PORS via. ferry is a nice pool-hopping extravaganza.
