Best pool besides the Disney hotels

What hotel in the Anaheim/Garden Grove area has a great pool besides the Disney hotels? I have a 10 year old boy that loves to swim.
Right now we have reservations at the Embassy Suites South but their pool looks pretty generic
We do like the fact that it's an all suite hotel and has a cooked to order breakfast free but I know my son would like a great pool too.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Our favorite off-site pool is at the HoJo. They have two pool areas, one for young kids with a splash playground/zero entry kiddie pool, big pool and jacuzzi. The other pool is called the "quiet pool" but I have seen kids there plenty of times.

I second the Howard Johnson. They have a great pool area and can see a little bit of the fireworks from the hottub.

Here's another vote for hojo's. They have 2 large pools and a wading pool.

Supposedly the Residence Inn Maingate has a nice pool. It is heated to a nice toasty temperature so night time swimming isn't too cold, it is open 24 hours a day, and two hot tubs. Plus they have a Sports Court that kids can play on with basketball hoops and an area for running around. Additionally RI has one and two bedrooms suites, full kitchens, and a free cooked to order breakfast.
