We will be there the first day enjoying the pool. They have 2 pools which one has the best food and shade

neither has much shade and I don't recall any food at either one. The newer one, by DVC has a kids splash area and a slide.

The one closest to the DVC building has food, and I remember a very good crab cake sandwich. Do not know if they still sell it.

The bar and food service at the original pool is very good. It tends to be a little less hectic there.

I found the one close to DVC to be more crowded lots of kids, maybe due to slide.

I found the larger pool nicer. I don’t know about the food.

We will be at GFVs in September and thank you for this information.

I’m old enough that I still think of the beach pool as the “new” pool, even though we swam in it in 2001. That’s the pool for the waterslide, fun kiddy play, and organized pool activities, while the courtyard pool is more for peaceful relaxation.

The beaches pool bar had the crab cake sandwich during our visit a couple weeks ago. It’s delicious!

The courtyard pool has a bar but much more limited menu, because the QS restaurant is a short(ish) walk away. We spent much more time at the DVC side pool with the kiddie area and the slide. The bar there has an eating area with tables and umbrellas facing the beach. More scenic, imo.
