Without going into whether it is right or wrong (if it's not allowed, we won't do it), can anyone tell me the best places for two people to share one meal and use one credit? DS does not eat 75% of the time during the summer and DD goes through phases where she will eat very little as well. If we can save a few credits by having them share with each other or with one of us, it will allow for some in room snacking when they will both be more likely to eat.

Anywhere you like. We just got back from 10 nights at the WL with dinning and everyone was great when we wanted to share. Our DS does not eat very many things (lives on burgers, pizza and mac & cheese)so we used all his TS's (we did alot of 2TS dinners) and he used our CS points for both meals. But there were still times when we wern't that hungry and only ordered one meal. Rather than waste the food, we would share at breakfast and lunch. We were never even questioned or made to feel uncomfortable about it.

Have fun. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We shared at Le Cellier and Rose and Crown and both meals were more then enough for two people. Another thing you might do is get desert to go and have it for breakfast. I bought a really cheap cooler and it seemed to work well.

As long as what you order is not an all you can eat platter (i.e. skillet at Whispering Canyon or bottomless milkshake) or listed per person (i.e. Marakesh Feast at Marrakesh) you should have no problem sharing anywhere.

One thing to remember though is that if you're sharing at a CS be sure to ask for a 'cup of water'. If you just order water you may get a bottle and they will charge you for another CS. I was told this by a CM at Cosmic Rays when I asked for water.

Were you allowed to share with a child? My dd8 also goes through phases where she doesn't eat much. Unfortunately, she is the only "child" on our plan, so she wouldn't be able to share with another "child". We also have a ds10. I am wondering if they would be allowed to share his meal - maybe have his appetizer or something. Has anyone had any experience with that? I don't plan on using any child credits for adult meals - my "adult" ds10 will probably order off the children's menu 50% of the time.

For counter service, some of the better places I found to share was:

Cosmic Ray's - chicken or Chicken and rib combo
Tusker House - just about any of their meals are big enough to share
The Seasons (the land at Epcot) - We had their salmon and mashed potatoes with a creme brulee for dessert and we were both satisfied.
Almost any of the "Dinners" at the resort food courts - I'm not talking about the burgers or pizzas but at Mara we shared a fried shrimp dinner and at POFQ we shared the 1/2 chicken dinner (it came with 2 sides and a cornbread).

We found that if you enjoyed the dessert (which was often a fruit bowl) almost any counter service meal was enough for two moderate eaters.

Yes, you should have no problem with this. Our DS is 19 so his were also adult credits. Then you can use your DS's adult credits to enjoy a couple of sinature meals.

Have fun :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I agree with Princess Trisha for her counter service selections. We just got back from WDW yesterday. The chicken and rib portions at Cosmic Rays were HUGE!!! We actually saw a family of three split one dinner! The portions at seasons were also a good size. I had a chicken ceasar salad that could have fed two people. If you are traveling with a light eater, (My 8 year old eats next to nothing after breakfast.) You might be better of paying for an appetizer for them instead of wasting a table service credit. We realized this at Tony's Town Square, when my son ordered a full kids meal, then ate 3 pieces of his fruit salad and fell asleep. We cancelled his meal and just paid for the fruit salad and his drink a total of $4. When he woke up he just finished his sister's meal and everyone was fed and happy.

Slightly OT but what did you do when DS fell asleep? Was he sitting laying down or what ? DGS has been known to do this as we pull into restaurant parking lot , beencarried in and still slept thru supper !!

As long as you aren't using child meal entitlements for adult meals, you shouldn't have any problem with sharing. Unfortunately, it is hard for them to tell, these days, so there is a chance folks will be inconvenienced by enforcement that shouldn't even apply to them. We just have to live with that until the information systems are upgraded.

The best TS place to share, I feel, is 50s Prime Time Cafe. It has consistently large portions, where some of the other TS places are offering more reasonable (smaller) portions, these days.

I think this subject has been played out. The op is refering to sharing, not using childs credits. I would like to hear from anyone who has had trouble with sharing. Our waiter at LLT (lunch not all you can eat dinner)very nicley asked if we were saving our credits for a sigunature meal. I told him no, we just wern't hungry enough. This was one of the few times DS ate with us, so we had two meals for the three of us. We still had him wrap dessert.

At tony's we had a big corner booth so he just laid down in the booth and slept while we ate. When he woke up he ate the other half of his sister's pasta.

There have been a few reports of folks doing nothing wrong getting the evil eye from some perhaps over-zealous servers. Hopefully, that subject will be played out soon, and the servers can go back to focusing on serving! :thumbsup2
