Looking for people's opinions on where the best place is to view the fireworks at HS this summer. I don't need to see the stage show. I want the best place to view just the fireworks. Also I looked at one of my days (August 21) and it says that HS is open until 8:00 but Fantasmic is at 8:30? Does that make sense? What time would the fireworks go off? TIA for all your input!!

1. Green-shaded areas.

2. That happens VERY frequently. Most guests who want to see F! will already be in the theater
by 8PM, anyway.

We loved the view from Echo Lake last year, but they didn't pipe in the music over there and left the background loop music running during the show.

That was not the word I was given last year when I made the map.
Not once in all the times I've posted it has anyone said that there was no fireworks audio there.

I want to eliminate that area from recommendation if there is no audio there.

I saw a video of the show on youtube that was looking out over the lake and had the audio....

Maybe I got really unlucky in August, then.

If you don't care about the stage show then right in front of the Crossroads Tower is a nice place to stand. You can see all the fireworks there, there are less people standing in front of you, and you can escape in front of the huge mob at the end of the show. :)

The video I saw actually was on the walkway to HS with the music dubbed in. I saw video of people close to the stage and they had a terrible view of the fireworks. My thought is that it is better the farther back you are (towards the entrance)? The view from the walkway is amazing but if there is no music you lose a lot of the "show"

We stood in the street at the intersection of Hollywood and Vine and had a great view of the fireworks. The stage show was a good distance away, but they play it on the big screen there. We thought it was a great spot. It did fill quite early last year. We were probably in place an hour or so before the show started.

I didn't even realize DHS had Frozen fireworks. Will this be occurring all summer or just after Star Wars weekends?

It's part of the Frozen Summer Fun June 17-Sept 7.
Frozen Fun – “Frozen” Summer Fun LIVE will bring together Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf with citizens of Arendelle, all appearing daily in shows and experiences at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, June 17-Sept. 7. Guests will find cool thrills this summer including a royal processional, a sing-along show, Frozen-themed treats and merchandise, plus a Frozen fireworks display above Hollywood Blvd.

we love the Echo lake location. Here's a video that shows you how it looks and sounds from there The actual fireworks start at minute 6:30

that's great. how early did you have to stake out your spot? it looks like when we are going the fireworks should be around 7:50 with the park closing at 8:00 but a 8:30 fantasmic. i'm hoping it won't be too crowded because everyone will be going to fantasmic

@lionqueen that's the beauty of this area, it never gets super crowded until maybe 20 minutes before fireworks. But if you want to grab a table and chairs then you need to be there a bit earlier. We are locals so we don't go for rides. What we do is we get dinner from any quick service and bring it to Echo Lake, grab a table and chairs and just relax.

Is it possible to watch the Frozen fireworks from echo lake and still make the first Fantasmic! if we have dining package passes to Famtasmic?

We need date and time specifics to tell you.

For instance, if Frozen fireworks ended at 8PM, you'd have a very tough time getting to and 8:30 F!, but if F! started at 9:00 on that night, you'd be fine.

We are heading there July 6. It looks like two Fantasmics with ours at 9. I can't find what time Frozen Fireworks are though.....
