Just wondering if anyone has a good place to watch Illuminations? And how quick do you have to get there? Last year we were looking for a spot by the water and couldn't find one so we couldn't see anything going on in the water.

We have watched Illuminations from almost every spot from which you can watch. There aren't any bad spots but if Epcot is crowded you have to go to water edge about twenty minutes before the show.

Some people like to watch from the bridge to France from England near the International Gateway. Others like to watch from in front of the U.S. pavilion. The most crowded is the area entering the world showcase and near Mexico.

Just enjoy your visit.

The biggest thing to remember about seeing IllumiNations is that you need to have the wind at your back. If you you have a breeze on your face, all the fireworks smoke will be blowing in your direction!

My DF was hit in the leg last year with a fireworks shell becuase we were standing face into the wind. I really dont remember the wind being all the strong. She was not hurt just suprised us both that it happened.

I guess my question is.... because this is only my second trip ever to WDW and my first over a holiday...

what is the difference between the two fireworks shows? What does "illuminations" mean vs being at MK?

What should is better? which is easier to get to and how early dO i have to be there?

I want to see THE best show!!! (As I know everyone else does too LOL)

melissa,
illuminations is the fireworks display at epcot and "WISHES" is the new display at MK. Both are great shows and if possible see them both.:teeth:
