Best Place to Purchase Park Hoppers?

Just wondering if anyone has any pointers. I am looking to purchase 5 day Park Hoppers (no Plus) 2 adult and 1 child, and have seen a few options - CAA, ticketmania, Disney Store etc. Does anyone know if one place or another is cheaper? I think CAA might only have PH+, not plain PHs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

CAA only has the plus, as does Paramount and Ticketmania. Disney might be your only option.

Call the number found at www.flightcentre.ca and enquire. I just bought the adult passes for $169 and the childs for $133 (Cdn.) They'll deliver it to your nearest Flight Centre location. These were the 5 day park hopper (for the price of 3). This is the lowest I've found them.

Disney, for whatever reason, limits the kinds of tickets that can be pre-purchased in Canada.

As far as I know there's only the 5 day park hopper plus and the 7 day available, although if you're staying on-site you can always get a length-of-stay pass.

I have clients at WDW right now that only wanted 4 day park hoppers, and I wasn't able to get them here.

I believe the 5-day PH can be purchased only from WDW. The most recent price I found was $231.11 + 6.5% Florida tax. (This was before Sunday's ticket price increase.) For $250 inc. tax, the OP could purchase a 5-day PHP with 2 pluses. The pluses would effectively cost a total of $3.63 before tax. With that happy tidbit of info tucked into my brain, even I would be comfortable using the plus features to go to PI.

Hi

I just called the Flight Center and ask for the price of a 5 day pass to WDW and she told me it was $385. for Adult $305 for a child. Did she give me the wrong price? She didn't offer 5 days for the price of 3.

I checked with sears travel agency last sunday she said around Sept they come out with great deals. I am going next year but getting prepared. She said last year they came out with buy one hopper pass and then get one for free. Also she says they have done at par for hotel and hopper passes too. The last thing she said to me is dont buy your passes till the week before you leave. There is always deals and try to get the best one. I think I may be buying the passes through her and possibly the airfare. I think I will book from disney the hotel with a code to hopefully get a great deal. I also thought of getting a disney visa to get the bonus money and the discount to hotels.
Just thought I would post what i have learnt so far.

Dimoe, you had better get a new travel agent quickly - this one doesn't know what they are talking about.

There was no such hopper deal last year, I would be surprised if there has ever been a "buy one get one free" hopper sale.

For a number of years, but not last year, there was a buy one, get one at 50% off sale for Canadians - but I believe they were only for 7-day hoppers, and I know that they expired quickly, whereas the normal hoppers never expire.

Disney occasionally offers an "at Par" deal for entire packages, which include both resort and the very expensive "ultimate hopper" passes; if you plan on staying at a Disney resort anyway, these can be decent deals, as can the recent "get 7 days for the price of 4" deals. Again, these are for complete packages only, not for passes.

Of course, the notion of waiting until the last minute to buy your passes is sheer lunacy. Pick up the passes whenever the opportunity to same some money presents itself. Like before the price increase last week ;)

WDW is the best place to buy plain hoppers, in advance (telephone or web site).

The Disney Visa isn't offered to Canadians, unfortunately.

Best of luck

Sorry Dimoe but kdmoore gave you better info.

When we went in 97 the promotion was Canadian at par. It started in October and ended in April. For all the years after that it was buy one get one half price until this last year-NOTHING. That's not saying Disney might not do something again this year but it does not look promising.

Just wanted to agree with kdmoore. I don't recall there ever being a BOGO for WDW. They used to have an at-par special every year until they went for the buy one, get one at half price special. Sometimes they announce the passes around November, most times I believe they're good from the beginning of January until the end of April, sometimes they're effective earlier in the fall. But they do expire.

And when agencies order tickets in, they have to provide the names of the people they're being ordered for (unlike the Disney Store which I believe just has a bunch in stock). For my old agency, regardless of which vendor we ordered from, it usually took 1-2 weeks for the passes to come in. If you wait until the week before you go to order them then you run the risk of not getting them in time.

And just a mention on the hotels - travel agencies have the ability to deal with CRO too. Most of them don't like to because it's easier to deal with a Canadian vendor who will probably pay them a higher commission and will quote everything in Canadian funds. But if they deal direct with Disney then they can apply the discount codes to reservations. If they tell you that they can't, well they're wrong.

I have a feeling - but then, I'm not in charge at Disney;) -but Cdn's looking for the 7day PH Buy one,Get one 50% promotion will be looking awfully hard for it...as in, it ain't gonna happen anymore...

An increase in the number/duration of packages - room and UPH - YES...but just tkt discounts, nope.

I think - again, not in charge - that getting visitors onsite, and staying will be the theme in package promotions...Who wants to go to US/IOA when you have an "all-inclusive" ticket at WDW...???

Just my thoughts...good luck with your planning, dimoe!! If you have any questions...please feel free to ask!!
:D

You made me laugh!! I have never heard the acronynm "BOGO" before - good one!! lol :p :p

I agree with lots above except not too wait. The passes you can wait, be careful though to allow for shipping if you buy from a wholesaler. I have seen a 5 day PH passes as low as 225 US adult for WDW.

Do not pay retail for Univeral and IOA or Seaworld those you can alway get free days or at par deals. Call CAA or your travel agents.

If you do buy a PH passes and do not use all days there is a large market for them on Ebay or even try your local newspaper.
