My DF is a simple meat & potatoes type guy (military, what can you expect!) & I wanted to know where is the best place at WDW & the resorts to have a great steak dinner.

Definitely Shula's Steakhouse at the Dolphin. It is pricey (I think the steaks are around $35-$40 each) but so good.

We have been to Yachtsman Steakhouse every single trip since they opened in 91. The food is wonderful as is the service.

They have an excellent steak at Flying Fish if some member of your party are seafood lovers.

My husband had an extraordinary steak at Jiko's. Great seasoning, tender, but not that yucky mushytender. And the macaroni and cheese with it! :worship:

We enjoy the Yachtsman and LeCellier.

I've also heard Shula's is good as well. YSH was good but it's been a while since we've been there. I had an amazing filet at Palio last time we went but it was a "special".

An off night at Le Celliker for us I'm afraid and I was so looking forward to that meal! Both our steaks had chewy bits and were slightly tough. Wished we had saved credits and tried Yachtsman Steakhouse, but even they get it wrong sometimes I see. :confused3

Le Cellier and JIKO were very good, but the hands down best filet is at CA GRILL: oak fired tamarin filet. They don't even give you a steak knife this baby is sooo tender. It melts in your mouth. I MUST have this steak at least once per trip. :thumbsup2

Had good steak at the Concourse Steak House

I think the question to start with is "how much do you want to spend on the steak." IMO the steak places at Disney can be ranked pretty much by price. If you can drop $200+ for a meal for two, Shulas may be the place for you. If you want a good steak for half that (or less) you will probably enjoy Le Cellier.

Le Cellier in Epcot has fantastic steaks. I always get a steak and side orders of mushrooms & asparagus. Jiko also has a very good steak.

Shula's was hands down the best, but we had a meal almost as enjoyable and much cheaper at Le Cellier!

Shula's was awesome....I think we spent about $130 for 2 steaks, 2 salads, 2 sides and 2 drinks. You can EASILY share the salad and side- they are huge portions.

Another vote for YSH, here. Every time Ive dined there everything has been amazing. Le Cellier was good, but no where near YSH.

I had a great maple B-B-Q steak at Le Cellier. It was one of the best meals my family had in WDW :thumbsup2
