What are some of the more dependable websites to buy add-ons? We have BCV points and want to add on to them....What are some of the advantages or disadvantages to buying from outside verses directly from DVC? Or are there any? We are going at the end of November and will be talking to guide about adding on...but want other opinions before....:wizard:

IMO, i would stick to the sponsor of this site and jaki.

add-on directly:

*faster
*no dealing with ROFR
*zero closing costs
*get exactly the number of pts you want (27? 52? 83? they will do it.)
*better chance of getting a "loaded" contract with all current year pts
*easier to add-on the same UY month - which makes things easier to manage
*available financing if you add-on more than 50 pts

"add-on" from the outside:

*can save money (not usually on BCV or the newer properties...closing costs eat up the savings - for smaller contracts, you will be competing with nonowners who just want to get in the system and are willing to pay more per pt.)
*might luck into a contract with banked pts.
*if you want a small contract with a different UY month, this is your only option

that's about it for advantages. i have been hunting for a small contract that matches my current UY month for a while with no luck. when you add-on from the outside, even if you get the same UY month, there is a small risk that DVC will fail to link it correctly to your current contract.
