Our first night we're not doing the parks, but want to watch the fireworks. We are staying at WL and have thought about the beach at the Poly, the 4th floor observation deck at the CR, or maybe from the GF.

What would be your recommendations for the best viewing spot?

Thanks!

The best place is in the park. We've also viewed it from the 4th floor balcony of the Contemporary, (just out from the stores), and we've seen it from the TTC. All these places have the soundtrack from Wishes too. From the TTC it's best to see it near the boat dock. If viewing from the 4th floor balcony at Contemp, just be sure you get there early to get a spot where the monorail track isn't blocking your view.

We really enjoyed seeing the fireworks from the Contemporary. You get off the monorail, go down to where the gift shops are, go to the end of the concourse and out the doors facing MK. You can stand at the viewing area, but you can also climb the stairs to a higher vantage point. We were CR guests, so we had our refillable mugs from the snack bar. We filled up, then hung out and enjoyed the show. It's nice that the music is piped in.

Although it is wonderful to see it from the park, if your kids are ready for dinner/bed, this is a great option.

Have fun!

Our last trip was in Aug. and we stayed at the Polynesian. It was a very laid back trip and we saw Wishes 3 times from the poly beach. Nice view from sunset point off the side of the beach closer to ferry landing. usually a few other people there. Very romantic and bring a towel or blanket to sit on. We also have done the wishes cruise and loved that also.

We stayed at the WL on our last trip and ate at Chef Mickey's on our first non-park night. We finished dinner and realized it was almost time for Wishes. We went out on the viewing area and could not see, so we climbed the stairs to a higher level and had the area all to ourselves! My DD4 loved it because she does not like the noise of the fireworks, it was not as loud.

Hope this helps some, we plan to do this on our next December trip.

Have a great trip!:Pinkbounc

They are really easy to watch from the GF. You can watch from the beach, or you can get closer, by sitting on the grass in between Boca Chica and the Lagoon. Many of the fireworks are shot over the western side of the MK, so you're pretty close.

It's not much different from watching from the Poly, but it's a little clsoer so it doesn't take the sound of the reports as long to travel to you.
