We are going in September for free dining (Sept 20-28) and a part of the deal was that my husband would get an awesome steak dinner! We have tried to get an ADR at Le Cellier for weeks by haven't been able to get a reservation. It will be me, DH and 4 kids 2,4,6,8.

Any suggestions????

Thanks!

We love Le Cellier!! Keep trying, however, we also enjoyed Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemp. Resort.

I'm glad to hear you liked Concourse. I have a reservation there under the free dining. The rest of my group had previously made reservations at Chef Mickey's and we've had no luck adding 2.
Does Concourse's menu have variety?

Yes, it does we were a little unsure the first time we ate there but very good and we had great service. You can check out menu at www.allearsnet.com. My kids loved the dessert they got too. It was a mickey cookie served on a painters pallet with different color icings and a paintbrush.

We are going to the Yachtsman steakhouse.

Yes, it is 2 credits, but we have dining for 8 days, and we usually share counter service meals among the 5 of us, so we are eating an extra CS meal at the Pepper Market to make up the gap.

We have found that the best has been Le Cellier, followed by Kona (haven't tried any of the signature dining places though). We ate at the Concourse Steakhouse and absolutely HATED it. Horrible food, noise, & service :sad2:

They have a really good steak at the Brown Derby in MGM. Personally I thought it was better than Le Cellier.

The best steak that can be had with the DDP is at the Yachtsman or Jiko. LeCellier is good and we did not enjoy the steak at all at Concourse.

The overall best place on property for a true high end steakhouse experiance is Shula's at the Dolphin but it is not part of the DDP and there is no child's menu.

None of our family like Le Cellier at all. Won't go back - even for free. We LOVED Concourse Steakhouse and will visit it twice this time round.

Le Cellier, Yactsman, are all very good. Concourse has been kinda of iffy the times ive been there. It is either really good or very poor. Also Shula's is suppose to have some great steaks.

Several people have reported the steaks at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs Resort as being excellent. You might plan that in conjunction with a visit to DTD. You could take the boat from DTD which will drop you off at the bottom of the stairs leading to the restaurant.

We had wonderful blackened strip steaks at Flying Fish of all places! We would not have thought to try them, but the waiter highlighted the steaks when describing their signature items and 5 out of 8 (including me) of us decided on the steak. It really was very very good. Very tender and flavorful. I would definitely recommend it. :)

Le Cellier is our favorite for one TS. LC is the one restaurant we visit every trip.

Coral Reef -- which you'd think was a seafood restaurant -- has a very good NY strip.

For two TS (Signature), the filet at California Grill is to die for.

Shula's is superb, but not on DDP. If it's the same as their home store here in Miami, you can actually eat there for nothing. All you have to do is eat a 54 oz steak at one sitting and it's free.

I've heard decidedly mixed reviews on Yachtsman -- so many that we avoided it on our last trip, even though we were staying at BCV.

You could try Wolfgang Puck Cafe. WPC had "wolf's steak" which is a 12 oz ribeye. DH and DS both order this a few weeks ago (I've got to get around to to doing that review!!!). DH said the steak was very good, nicely seasoned, and tender. It seemed to be a higher quality steak than some others we've had. Not sure what you were wanting to order, but if you didn't want steak WPC has a large menu with many other items.

Had dinner last Thursday at Yachtsmans Steakhouse...VERY VERY VERY disappointed...

We went 2 years ago and it was the best meal for my DH and I...this time, the service was HORRIBLE..the food took forever to get..and my steak at the Galley in the YC lobby was much better and half the price

I personally think the DDP has caused too much operational strain on the restaurants...poor service was the norm this trip

We were there last week & noticed the same thing. We were asked right away if we were on the dining plan & noticed that were treated differently than those without the plan. They seemed to know the tip wasn't a factor and the service showed :sad2:
We did pay for 2 breakfasts & had good service with those (actually exceptional with one of them).

Thing is...we WEREN'T on the dining plan...spent $400 between 7 adults and 3 kids...

Actually it is called The 48oz Club I believe and there were many more names on the wall then I thought there would be. :)
