We are going to be at MK for one day in January (Sunday, 3rd week) - calendars show it to be a green day. We will have 6 adults, 6 kids. (ages 9 and under)

Plan is to get there for rope drop, head back to Fantasyland, then head to Frontierland, Adventureland, and end the day in Tommorowland. We also want to watch the Electrical Parade.

What are the best attractions to get with FP ahead of time? Splash Mnt, Space Mnt, and maybe Big Thunder or Buzz Lightyear?

Also--what are the necessary Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios rides to get FP with ahead of time? What is the best route to take in those parks? We haven't been there before.

Not sure which calendar is showing it as a green day (assuming your looking at the Sunday before MLK day). That day is going to be fairly busy. Josh has a fairly good (if not a little ambitious) schedule for 12 people with his 1 day schedule. That being said, Splash Mountain is I think still closed for refurbishment during that time so that loosens things up a little bit. Secondly, not everyone may want to ride space mountain. That's probably the hardest extra FP to get day of. With Splash closed I would probably move POTC into that spot and prebook Space for 1:00 based on Josh's 1 day plan.

After Josh's plan ends, I would chill and take it easy until after Wishes. The crowds will die back down and you've got a good shot a repeating favorites or hitting rides you missed earlier (assuming your crew can stay up until midnight).
