i understand that there are different characters at different parks so if for example i want to meet gaston i'm gonna have to do it at MK.

but i am thinking that epcot would be the best place for me to meet characters like the princesses because the lines are surely shorter than if i went to fairytale hall. right? :confused3

i'm going solo in april and i will have an entire afternoon to be leisurely at epcot (i plan on doing everything i want to do in future world in the AM and then meeting characters and wandering around world showcase in the afternoon/evening).

i also have a disney visa card so i'll meet what usually ends up being mickey and pluto or minnie and pluto in innoventions.

since MK has the most attractions i'd rather not wait in too many meet n greet lines there.

so do you think meeting characters at epcot is the best option for my situation?

There's also the Character Spot in Epcot.

If you are going to DHS, you should plan on Character Palooza:

I was going to do that plan in Epcot but got sidetracked at the bars so never made it.

I did meet Sleeping Beauty but that was it. LOL

The lines did seem shorter when I saw them except for Belle in her regular blue dress. That line seemed long.

There was Sleeping Beauty, Belle in regular clothes, and Snow White. Aladdin was in Morraco (sp?) Oh and there was Donald in his Caballero (sp?) clothes and Winnie the Pooh was supposed to be meeting in the UK Pavalion but I didn't actually make it in there to see him.

If you want Cinderella you'll have to go to Fairytale Hall in MK.

Yes, I agree that for characters you can meet in several places, Epcot lines seem generally shorter. That is a vast generalization, though. I either have bad timing, or else it seems the Epcot ones have more breaks (which always seem to be starting just as I arrive at a line). I think the Princess Fairytale Hall princesses have more "friends" so maybe the breaks are negligible.

I agree with your assessment that MK has more attractions to do, while you can soak up Epcot atmosphere and a snack while also wandering from character to character without missing out on other things.

While there are a lot of characters at Epcot I feel lie they are not necessarily there as much (that may not be true, but feels that way). The characters (like princess and Mickey) are at MK all day long. At Epcot they have more set hours (and seemingly random as well).

I've never actually found a character at Epcot when I've actually been looking, but I have come across them unexpectedly many many times.

You can also meet Mulan in China. You can look on MDE and see the times and places to meet different characters at the parks.

These pages give a good example of when the characters are out at Epcot.

We seemed to have the most character-meeting-productive day at Epcot than any other park.

On the other hand, I'd rather wait in a line at MK than epcot, because that sun is merciless.
