Best Park for the Sunday after T-day?

I am trying to figure out what would be the best park to do the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We are actually arriving the day after T-day, but plan to stay out of the parks till Sunday, hoping crowds will start thinning a little then. I was thinking of doing Animal Kingdom until after the parade (we haven't seen it yet and want to), then heading to Beaches & Cream for an early-ish dinner and then hopefully hop to Epcot for IllumiNations - how does that sound for a fist day plan? Or would Epcot be a better choice for that day?? Any experiance/thoughts you have about this would be VERY much appreciated!! THANKS!

Good plan--we're arriving the day after T-day and plan to lay low at our resort until Sunday too! Haven't yet decided which park(s) we'll hit that day, but I think your plan sounds good. I would avoid MK since it's early entry day there; other than that, the crowds in the other parks will probably be lighter than the previous few days and then thin out even more by late afternoon as the masses start heading home. At least, that's my theory!

Then I hope we'll have nice weather and low crowds for the next week!

Thanks for your thoughts momtotwinglesx4! I'm with ya on the hopes for good wheather and low crowds for the next week too! It'll be our first time during the Christmas season, so I'm sure we'll have a blast no matter what!

Anybody else have any thoughts or advise for me?

We too are going the day after Thanksgiving but there is this masochistic part of me that will attempt MK on Sat regardless and then go to another park if it's too awful. But come on this is the Magic Kingdom and I'm dtermined to make some magic for my DD6!
