best parade viewing spots

Where are the best places to watch the parade?
How far ahead of time do you need to claim a spot?
How do you know which end of the parade route the parade will start from?

There are a lot of good spots to watch the parade as long as you are right next to the parade path. Around MS TS is a good place to watch the parade and around IASW. My favorite spot is right next to the Hub.

If you want a curb side with no one in front of you at least around an hour wait. Maybe 30 minutes if you can get lucky.

If DL is doing two parades a day, the first parade will start from IASW to MS TS. While the 2nd parade will come from MS TS to IASW. On single day parades, it can start from MS TS to IASW or IASW to MS TS.

What mvf-m11c is true.

I like to sit on the curb and watch the parade but it's a matter of preference. If you can grab a set on one of the benches that would be ideal.

I've noticed that for the Soundsational Parade Premier (5/27/11) people lined up more than an hour before the first show (4:30 PM).

One thing I would recommend that is you consider where the sun is because ou don't want to be facing the sun when trying to enjoy the show or take pictures. I've done this once before and I've learned from that experience.

Sunday we watched the 4 pm parade in front of IASW. We were there 20 minutes before the start of the parade. Main Street was packed as was the hub at 3:30 pm. There were front row places sitting on the pavement beside the planter opposite the IASW entrance. We sat in the section in front of the IASW line. I overheard a CM on Main Street say that the 4 pm parade starting from IASW doesn't come to the train station area until 4:15/4:20. We all loved the parade.
