best option for one adult, one way

I am heading to AKL in March and need just a one way to the hotel from airport; am meeting mom who will have car for return...I always avoid mears but think a town car will be costly...what are your thoughts?

I'd save the money and take Mears. Yes, there are horror stories about Mears but most people get to their hotel in a reasonable time. A towncar may save you an hour, you have to decide if it's worth it.

I had the same situation last summer. I took Mears. A towncar for one person just sounded too costly. I arrived at 10:30, got in line and was the last one to pay for my fare before their computers kicked off. (That seems to happen a lot! ) However, I did not have a long wait for my shuttle. It wasn't great, but it was okay.
