We have to buy passes for the first time for our trip in May. Everytime before, we have booked a package deal. I have heard that it is cheaper to buy tickets online instead of at the gate. What is the best site to buy them from and about how long does it take to receive the tickets?

It depends on which tickets you are looking for. We shopped around for the best price for 5 day base tickets and found the Disney Store was actually the lowest price - mainly because their price was in Canadian$ and our exchange rate had dropped since they fixed their prices. I have read on other boards that ticket prices may be going up in early March so buy early just in case!

We bought from Undercovertourist.com. There was an additional discount in the mousesavers newsletter, worth subscribing. Very easy transaction, came in about 10 days.

Here's a link to one stop shopping - Disney, Arabian Nights, Universal, Holyland, etc: Click here

We've used Ticketmania in the past, and they were great. There used to be an extra discount on Mousesavers, but they have changed to undercovertourist. (I agree with the previous poster to sign up for the mousesavers newsletter!)

In the past they had free shipping -- it's not anymore, and generally it's the 7-day pass you'll get the most discount. Two years ago when I priced it out versus the Disney store, the 7-day pass on Ticketmania was cheaper than the 5-day at the Disney Store. Since then, Disney Store has adjusted its set cdn prices (they used to mark it up 30%) so they may now be the best buy.:confused3

The current 7-day is $207 including tax.

We did our homework and I have to say that for what we were looking for, this link was the cheapest. The Disney Stores look like a better deal becuase they are in Canadian but they do not have the tax incld. and this site includes all taxes. They are also offering a 5 day pass for the price of a 4 day pass. We get the base ticket that is good for 14 days but has the waterpark and more options so we can do the waterparks and Pleasure Island also. You get 5 days at the parks and 4 days at their "other attractions". I would not go for the hopper unless you are staying at a WDW resort as it really drives the price up!

I would suggest Undercover Tourist as well. Their prices seem to be the best around. You can get any configuration you want in your ticket. PM me if you would like a link to the discounts and can't wait until Feb 15th.

We've used undercover.tourist and ticketmania and have been happy with both sites. The cheapest thing to do is collect airmiles and redeem airmiles for your passes.

Thanks for the info. I will check out the 3 differnet sites and see which one has the better price. I do subscribe to mousesavers, so I will check out their discounts. Thanks again!!

Looks like you and another poster above are linking with a reference to that site. Is this allowed on the DIS ? Meaning that if someone orders from your link, you are getting some sort of commision from the site. That's what it looks like to me anyway...

I've been searching for months for the best price and I too have found Ticketmania to be the cheapest. Our Disney Store doesn't sell the park tickets. :confused3

LOL - no commision here! In fact, went to order our passes from them this weekend and guess what - they do not courier to Canada! I called 3 different ticket offices and they all said that due to recent "issues" they will not ship to Canada. So we are stuck buying from the Disney Store (still a pretty good deal since the US rates have gonje up slightly).

Which 3 did you call? Ticketmania says you can order them online. I've found them to be the cheapest. What are the prices at the Disney Store? Will they ship? Our Disney Store doesn't sell them.

Sorry it just looked like both your links contained a different ref=xyxyxyxyx which lead me to believe that it was ref based.

I recently purchased from undercovertourist and was pleased. Free shipping to Canada and it was fast.
I read somewhere that it may not be free shipping anymore ?

did you purchase recently because the person I spoke with said they used to ship to Canada but do not do this any longer. We are buying the 5 day, waterpark plus (4 plus days) passes that expire 14 days after first day of use. The disney stores in Toronto offer this exact pass for $285 CDN and The Official Ticket Centre offered them for $255 US and I also tried Dreams Unlimited and Ticket Momma.
I still have to find somewhere to get my Universal tickets. I wonder what would have happened if I just filled out everything online instead of phoning.

We got 10 day Hopper tickets from undercovertourist in Dec, shipped to Canada for no additional cost. HTH.

Thanks to all - time to kiss my $1200 goodbye amnd make the purchase!!

Ticket Mania has the 5 day, waterpark plus (4plus days) for $247 US.

Get your Universal Tickets directly off Universal's Website. They have a deal on now $85 both parks as much as you want to go for 14 days.
