Best Off-site pools?

Hi! Looking for recommendations for the best off-site hotel pool complexes- think water slides, lazy river, etc. We usually stay at the Sheraton Vistana Villages but I'm wondering if there is some place even better! Only restriction is that we want 1 or 2 BR villa-type rooms, so a place with only standard rooms won't work. Location isn't much of an issue, as this is for a short stay before a cruise and we may not even go to the parks. Thanks!

Four Seasons! Stayed there last summer for my birthday and didn’t leave the resort. They have something for all ages.

We also like Gaylord Palms just because if it rains there is still a lot to see inside the resort.

You're not going to get the best pools and 1/2 bedroom villas in the same place. Here's a copy/paste answer to the "best pools" question from last year. Please note that these properties do not have villas.

There are two Holiday Inns that seem to get a bit of attention here on the boards:

I think the second one is more in line with what you are thinking.
If you go with the first one, check Mousesavers.com for special rates. They were running a special a few months ago that included free parking and resort fees.

We loved Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. No lazy river though. Still, for an extra $20/night, u get full access to all their amenities for a very all inclusive feel. We had so much fun on aqua bikes, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, rock climbing, pool games, Surrey bikes, regular bikes, tennis courts, pitch and putt course...so much to do!

Thank you! This is very helpful and confirms what I'd been seeing. I was struggling to find some place that had these types of pools plus the villa options. Unfortunately we can't do a standard hotel room for our group but at least I know I'm not missing something!

Now that I think about it, I believe some of the Marriott Vacation Club properties adjacent to the World Center Marriott include access to their facilities. For example, the Marriott Imperial Palms home page says:

"This complete vacation destination includes the amenities of the neighboring Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center -- from championship golf to outstanding restaurants, lounges and specialty gift shops -- as well as the pleasures of gracious, beautifully designed villas."

If the pool is critical, I'd call and ask just to make sure.

The following property is also in that same cluster. I didn't see anything stating you can use the World Center facilities...but I wasn't looking too closely. Maybe call and ask?

I have never stayed but have seen Reunion Resort rental condos and homes mentioned for the water park and pools.
