Best off-site for night before arrival

We are coming in very late on a Friday night (not till about 2 am) and don't care at all about the hotel except that it is clean and as close to Universal as possible so we can move over to HRH the next day easily.

Anyone know of a very close hotel or perhaps one that has a shuttle to Universal that is in the cheap range (since we'll only be sleeping for a few hours!) :jumping4:

Here is my suggestion: try the holiday inn at 8214 Universal blvd. This hotel is just south of sandlake. At the intersection of sandlake/universal go south . This hotel will be the second hotel on your right from the corner. It is nice and clean. And if you book the entertainment rate it will be cheap too. The entertainment rate for this hotel is 54 dollars and some change. The tax rate for this hotel is 11 1/2%. With tax it will cost you about 61 dollars.

One thing you might want to consider. This hotel has a small grocery store in the mini mall behind it. It is a very short walk. It also has many restaurants near it. These were some of the reasons that I have used this hotel many times before.
