What was your favorite mixed drink in WDW? Best tasting? Most unusual/innovative?

I am planning on enjoying a few drinks and I'd love some advice!

Epcot - Mexico
Margarita - Lime, Strawberry or Mango or Fiesta (combo of all three)
They have great flavor and they do pack a kick which you will start to feel a "little" something with just one.

Cantina de San Angel
Margarita stand closest to Norway but still in the Mexico sector

I would have to say that the most original one I had was the "kongaloosh" (sp) at the adventures club DTD after that was the "stepping out on captown"at victoria falls at AKL. these were very good mixed drinks

The Lapu Lapu in the Pineapple is yummy! Its at the Poly.

Innovative...we were recently at bar in Contemporary..he made us a mixed drink...Tequila and peppermint schnappes. Can't remember what he called it, it was good.

I don't know about innovative, but the Blue Spoodle at Spoodles was really good.
:thumbsup2

Ahhhh . . . my favorite subject. I'll tell you what's fun - go resort hopping on the monorail and try something new at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary. To answer your question - the Polynesian usually has some neat and tasty cocktails - served in fun cups and glasses. Try this concoction - a Midori, coconut rum and pineapple juice martini. Have fun!

Dad's Electric Lemonade- Tune In Lounge
Oreo Mintini- Marthas Vineyard Lounge
Space Monkey- Outer Rim Lounge
Nyami Nyami- AKL pool bar
Blue Paradise (served in a bucket)- the stand outside the Beach themed club at PI

And some of the more popular favorites, Lapu Lapu, Kungaloosh, and Fiesta Margarita in Mexico.

There is a house Martini at Wolfgang's cafe, I can't remeber the exact name but it is delicious! The marinate fruit in vodka then use the vodka in to make the drink. They are SMOOTH.... yum, yum!! Only bad thing is they go down so easy and are so good its very easy to get a little carried away. :drinking1

One of the specialty drinks at the Belle Vue Room at Boardwalk is a chocolate and raspberry concoction. It was good but I don't remember what it's called or what else was in it. Anybody know?

Another vote for the Lapu Lapu at the Poly. I created a shortage of pineapples in the city of Orlando all by myself one night!

Yes! Delicious. I also love the Lapu Lapu at Ohana.

I LOVE the margaritas from the stand at DTD....they are good and STRONG!!!!! One is all I can drink or I'd have to be carried out of there!!!

I can never remember what it's called, it was a "sun" something - maybe "sunrise"? Well, whatever it's called, I had it at the Concourse Steakhouse and it was out of this world - best mixed drink I've ever had at WDW. :sunny:

Here's what stands out in my mind --

Yellow Tang Martini (Polynesian; I think it's on the Ohana menu, but I ordered it in the Tambu Lounge): A combination of butterscotch schnapps, pineapple, and some other stuff. The glass rim was dusted with cinnamon and the drink was sooooooo smooth.

Outer Rim at the Contemporary had a Happiest Celebration drink menu with a cocktail devoted to each Magic Kingdom park. I *think* it was the drink for Hong Kong Disneyland, but it may have been Tokyo Disneyland. Anyway, it was a fruity cocktail that featured lychee (and was garnished with a lychee).

Wasabi Bloody Mary (Polynesian, Kona Cafe) -- Sure, bloody marys aren't unusual, but this one had an extra horseradish kick and was made with Absolut Pepper. Mmmmmm...

If you visit a (fully stocked) bar and don't find menu items that interest you, don't be afraid to tell the bartender what sort of drinks you like and ask the bartender to recommend a drink. I've found some really tasty drinks that way (peach martini, pez)!

It's not very inventive, but they make one heck of a Pina Colada at the Poly!

I have to agree. I make a special trip over to the Poly just for the Pina Colada :woohoo: Susan

My all-time favorite WDW drinks:

Backscratcher, Tambu Lounge at the Poly (best bartenders in WDW).

Goombay Smash, Banana Cabana at CBR.

The River Roost at POR makes great Hurricanes.
