What is the best month to go if you are overly sensitive to temperatures (both heat and cold)? We can go January, February, May, September, October, or November. We are currently trying to decide between February and May, but will gladly take any advice/suggestions. TIA!

I've never gone in February, but this year we went in May, the first week, and it was too hot for us to spend much time in the parks. I was surprised that we felt that way, since we live in a very hot part of the country.

Either February or November. May will be way too hot - it was too warm for my heat-sensitive behind in mid-March! Even February can be warm sometimes if you hit the wrong week (ask me how I know). But we've gone twice in November and had lovely weather both times: not too warm, not too cold, we lived in jeans and tshirts with a sweatshirt for early mornings and late nights.

It looks like you may be coming from Manitoba? So a relatively cooler climate than Florida. Definitely avoid May, September and October -- these months can be highs in the upper 80s F and humid. Even November, January and February can have some warm days but should be more like mid-70s for highs and 50s for lows. I'm from New England and we still wear shorts and t-shirts at WDW in those winter months, maybe occasionally a sweatshirt in the mornings/evenings.

*I gave temps in F.

If we are going to get ANY cold/cool weather, it is Jan or Feb.
There is no spring or fall weather to speak of in ORL.

February. January and November can have some cold days and I have family members who are sensitive to heat and had issues with April and October.

We went in late September one year and found it crazy hot and vowed never again September [and that we have no idea how people do the actual summer months...].

I am very heat sensitive due to MS (it triggers my symptoms like vertigo, numbness/tingling, feeling like my limbs are made of lead, trouble speaking, and exhausts me). We went in April this year and a couple days it was OK but other days it was a disaster. We had to shorten several days and actually skipped the parks entirely one day. So I say definitely not May. I did get DAS for the first time and that helped some, but it didn’t completely eliminate the problem. Without DAS I don’t know that I could have done the parks at all. I’m only going in January or February from now on, which is when we always went before. It does get cold then sometimes so I’m not sure how the person with cold sensitivity would do. It is easier to add clothes though. Oh and I have gone to central Florida in November to visit family and that is also a little warm for me. I don’t think I could do the parks at that time of year. For reference, once it hits 78 I really have to be careful. With shade, a good breeze, maybe a frozen drink/popsicle and a chilly pad I can be outside a couple hours up to 81 degrees but after that things get bad quickly.

I am super temperature sensitive as well.

For me, January is the best time of year. Having said that, *if* you plan on going in January, and *if* you are using a mobility device, plan ahead. The biggest problem for me in January is night time.

The evenings can - and do - feel chilly, especially by the water, and on the boats. Additionally, the movement of the mobility device as you drive can actually cause you to feel colder, because there is a wind chill effect. People who are walking usually don’t notice it as much, because they are active.

I take along clothes that I can layer (lots of light layers, so that I can put on more if I get colder, and take off layers during the warmest part of the day) as well as a warm scarf that I can put around my neck, and pull up over my head if needed. I also take along warm, lightweight gloves; my hands get SO cold! Needless to say, I have a blanket folded across the seat back of my wheelchair as well.

I also take along lots of the little “hot hands” packs; I have found that the smaller size is great, because I can put it in my pocket, or even in the palm of my glove, or tucked inside my shoes if my feet get cold. I have zero shame when it comes to staying warm; I have been known to tuck these ALL over! LOL

The great thing about January (besides the Art Festival at EPCOT) is you can still have those lovely, warm sunny days where you can soak up all the warm, and then sit in front of a roaring fireplace (thinking here of Wilderness Lodge) and enjoy a nice warm beverage in the evening!

We really struggle with the heat. We went this past April and 3 out of 4 park days were way too hot (in the 90s) and the last day was in the low 80s and was pleasant. But that was dumb luck, because a prior April trip had us bundled up in sweatshirts, hats, scarves, gloves, and blankets.

Previous trips in January-March consistently proved to be the best for us, temperature wise. Though, January was actually a little chilly (which is prefered for us), so I would aim for February if you're also trying to avoid the cold. May and September will both be too hot for you. October and November are a toss up, I think. Could go either way.

I’d vote for late January or any time in February. It can be cool, but at least if its cool, multiple layers help.
November is hard to tell. We’ve been when it was cold, but we’ve also been in early November and even early December when some days were 90° and above. I think it was the 2018 November 8 Christmas party when it was so hot that people were sweating almost to the end of the party.

I am very sensitive to temperature and think late February will be the best for you. We have been in November and January and both were too cold. We are from Ontario, so it's not that we weren't used to cold. ;) To be honest, early March is our favourite time for temperature.

Best to worst:

February (early spring)
January (sometimes it's really cold)
November (can go either way)
October (still hot)
May (hot)
September (brutal)

My first trip as a kid was in February, and the weather was just about perfect for this New Yorker. More recently, I’ve gone the week after Thanksgiving leading into early December, and that was nice, too.

We’ve been going the last week of January for the past few years, and it’s pretty predictable with temperatures. Comfortable/often sunny during the day (jeans/short sleeves, sometimes long sleeves), and then bringing hoodies/jackets for first thing in the morning and at night as it does get chilly, but not freezing. Highly recommend this time if you need to avoid extreme temps on either side!

I think your best bet is November--there's certainly a possibility it could be hot then, but it's unlikely, and the same goes for cold.

September and October can be really hot. I avoid these months for that reason and also, that's hurricane season.

As for January and February, I've been to WDW a lot both of those months and the weather is unpredictable. I've spent entire WDW trips in both months when I never took off my winter coat. The last time I went in February, not only was it very cold--and I live in the Northeast, so I'm used to cold--but it rained the entire trip. It was not a pleasant experience.

I'm not sure what your threshold for coldness is. I mean, we're not talking below-freezing temperatures at WDW. I'd imagine that's pretty rare. You can certainly consult weather websites that list the average temperatures for each of your possibilities.

We go in May every year. Some years it's lovely and some years it's kinda hot. It's not August-surface-of-the-sun hot, but it can get hot.

Therefore, my vote is for November. I think it checks all your temperature preferences.
