Best moderately priced steak???

The beef tenderloin at the Wave is a family favorite and the petite filet on the kids menu is a favorite of DS9.

There are $12 strips at the ABC Commissary in HS and at the Liberty Inn in the American Pavilion in Epcot. I've heard they aren't terrible (and some OK reviews online) but are uniformly grilled medium-well done (no requests). I have trouble getting my head around what the wholesale price would be after figuring in the mark-up so a bit iffy as to just what you are getting for $12.

Enough said, that would be enough to keep me from trying it... ABC Commissary. :crazy2: LOL

My sister tried the steak at the QS in America - it was shoe leather. I would not recommend it.

For TS steaks, I've had very good steaks at Captain's Grille, Sci-Fi, Raglan Road and Chefs de France. I loved the Raglan Road steak but I let my dad try it and he hated it due to the glaze on it - so if you have a picky steak eater, that might not work.

The steak at Raglan was pretty good, but I asked for the glaze on the side as I wasnt sure if i'd like it. Love the food here and the evening entertainment cant be beat!

Has anyone tried any of the counter serve steaks?

Oddly enough, just this morning at school drop off I was talking to a friend that is just home from her trip. She tried the steak on the menu at Liberty Inn, in Epcot. She said it was "fine" :) . Not fantastic, but edible and a good alternative to chicken or a burger (she watches her carbs). She likened it to "a steak your uncle would have bbqd back in the 80's" lol. She said it was a $12 steak, and not a $12 steak that would taste like a $30 steak.

FWIW, she also said everyone in the party liked what they ordered there, that the new items were a big improvement.

I've heard the same thing . . . that the new items (aside from the steak?) are a big improvement over the old menu. And I'm all for changes that are actual improvements at the CS. :-)

Turf Club bar and grill. Look at the menu, Great steaks and much more. this is a hidden Gem

My son is a huge steak lover but I am not looking forward to paying the prices of a yachtsman or boathouse which I currently have an ADR for. Just wondering if there are any on site decently priced places to get a good steak. Was considering Turf Club or Boatwrights. Any advice appreciated

I was pleasantly surprised with the steak at Sci Fi for lunch. The potatoes were delicious too! I'd definitely order it again!

I was amazed at how good the primal steak at rainforest cafe was at downtown disney. New york strip aged 21 days. $32.99. It was very, very good.
