Best Lounge Food

Yes, this is what I saw over the summer and it's why I asked the question about the long line upthread. I think the people who answered me may not have been to Poly recently. So is that line just people waiting for a lounge area table, or are some of them ordering to-go cocktails as well? We had seats at the bar but there were so many people standing around that it was anything but relaxing to sit there. It's always been a hopping place in the evening, but this time it was next level.
It does get crazy! If you just want a drink, you can walk up to the bar - if you can squeeze in! My BF wanted a drink while we were waiting so he went up to the bar and ordered one. I’ve been to Tambu Lounge before they had the line, it’s actually much better to have to wait. Beats eye balling all the people sitting and trying to strategize how to get their table when someone left. Then to have someone “swoop in” and take it. In think it’s become crazy because you can order a lot of the O’hana food there and word has gotten out.

I agree it's a better way to handle the tables. We just didn't know about the change before we sat down at the bar (we got there early before seats were full). We happened to pick the bar stools closest to where the line ended up forming and that ended up not being the best spot once the crowd moved in.
Thanks again for explaining the procedure change :)

Nomad Lounge
Victoria Falls Lounge
Dahlia Lounge
Three Bridges
Geyser Point

The lounges have all really upped their game. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

Oh and can I sneak in Baseline Taphouse? Love it too!

Nomad, Brown Derby, Geyser Point, and Victoria Falls are favorites. I think the burger at Ale & Compass is one of the best on property. Bar Riva over at the Riveria has great food but is often busy and is more of a pool bar vibe. I'm also a big fan of eating at the bar in signature restaurants - some of my favorites in that category are Jiko, Flying Fish, Citricos, Narcoossee's, bluezoo, Boathouse, Wine Bar George.

Editing to add, while I haven't tried it yet, I've heard that the Lobby Bar at the Four Seasons is fantastic and also has some good happy hour specials.

I the parks our favorites are Nomad Lounge (the best lounge food on property IMHO) at AK and Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge at HS. Outside of the parks we love Territory Lounge and Geyser Point at WL, Steakhouse 71 Lounge at the Contemporary and Jock Lindsey at DS. Boathouse also has a gorgeous outside walk up area and you can order off the full menu I believe.

It's funny, the more often we go to WDW, the more we just graze at the lounges vs making a bunch of ADR's.
Us too! Thats why I asked this. Like grazing instead of a full big meal

Are all of the bar areas at signatures walk up? I have a solo trip planned for August and I wanted to check out a few nicer spots but prefer eating at the bar when I'm alone for the most part.

Yes. At California Grill you'll have to first check in at the podium on the 2nd floor just given the nature of the set-up and if there is a spot (it is first come first serve) they will take you to the special elevator to take you up. There are relatively few bar seats here so if that's one you had in mind, would recommend arriving at open. At Jiko, in addition to a small bar that is walk-up, they do have almost a chef's counter inside the restaurant where you can watch the chefs preparing appetizers and desserts - you'd ask at the podium about that but it often takes walk-ups. At Boathouse, there's a large bar inside but you can also walk straight through the restaurant and out to the dockside bar over the water. Think everything else is straightforward. Have fun!!!
